...Neighbours!!!

After the appauling-ness of his last bad stuff to say about Neighbours, which i told you all about...my teacher has now said:

Neighbours isn't interlectually stimulating...ok so maybe it doesn't get our minds thinking, but come on...at least it's not like the UK soaps!!! I mean, all that ever happens in them is women sleep with every man in the area, everyone cheats on everyone and no-one is ever happy!!!

No offence to fans of other soaps, i'm just stating my "Neighbours is more intellectually Stimulationg than other UK soaps" opinion!

My teacher seems to think other wise!

Im sorry, but if neighbours is intellectually stimulating, then it doesn't take much.
There are some parts of neighbours that may be stimulating...But far from intellectually

I used to have to watch East enders when i had foxtel, because my GF was addicted to it...Now I have a computer--Joy To The World lalalalalalala
UK soaps are funny...My only critiscm of aussie soaps is that they don't really deal with "real" issues--But then I don't think they really need to....They are purely entertainment..Not INFOtainment(wow corny hehe)

I wouldn't watch neighbours if harold wasn't in it(ok maybe delta too)

lol, British soaps, the accent is so strong that i find it hard to understand them. never was a fan of soaps, i mean home and away's a tad bit dramatic, i dunno y i watch neighbours though, just got the delicate mix right i guess

I love neighbours! It doesn't take itself too seriously like Eastenders and Corination street - i find them really boring! Neighbours is a laugh!

Neighbours is not really a soap. It doesont deal with a range of Taboo issues like real soaps do ie: Drugs, Alcahol etc. But it is a very entertaining show though.

I am doing Communication Studies...we look at how people communicate, and a big part of that is how the media communicates and stuff, Soaps are only a small part of a big amount of things!!! We were talking about Characters and Storylines and things!

I think that Neighbours does cover some very moving, emotional, real-life storylines...i mean look at Dee and Toadie, then there's Lyn with her Post Natal depression!!! These are real-life, day-to-day issues...thats what i don't like about UK soaps, they are about the day-to-day issues that happene very rarely!!! I mean how many families actually have divorced parents??? Neighbours has managed to keep reality in the soap rather than, the 4 D's...Drugs, Depressing-ness and Divorce, Death!!! That is all UK soaps are about...and now home and away has joined in on the UK-ness!!! Everyone doesn't want revenge on everyone else in real life...do you go up to a person at school, who you don't know, who told your friend to stay away from her borther, because they were dating, but not now, and say to them, you had better stay away from my friend or else, then end up hitting them in the cafeteria because they called you a b*itch??? This is soap-life!!! Not real reality!!!

Ok, so half of that was usless information, but at least i got it off my chest...i feel a lot better now!!! Thankyou for letting me bore you all!!!

LOL yeah Neighbours is far better than any UK soap - they r so overrated and over the top and Neighbours has more of an equal perspective of things
