I was just thinking of ways to get out Delta's name. And I realized that we have pretty much covered everything. Youtube, myspace, facebook. But there is one way that we haven't tried...Cell Phones. I can't belive I have overlooked this idea.
The way society is today with technology, such as text messages and pix/flix messaging, it is so easy to get out a message. So it suddenly hit me; why not incorperate one of delta's songs or music videos into forwards.
I know some people just hate them. But hey, its a perfect way to get her name out. Now, we won't be able to send out whole songs or videos, but we can just get a small peice and put it into a forward. And if we really worked at it, we could get this message all over the nation, and if possible, internationally (but lets do one thing at a time haha).
So i'm thinking we could do 2 of Delta's songs; ITL or BA. Both would work since they are new to the USA, and ITL is already familiar to people here, and BA could be the new single.
Now on to the forward part, it needs to have some sort of message that will tie in well with the song or video.
If it was with ITL I would say:
You have given me love
You have given me light
You have shown me everything that has been happening
You have opened up my eyes
Forward this to everyone and show how much you care.
Delta Goodrem
And if it was BA:
I lost my faith in love
Tonight I belive again
My heart was a broken glass
But now I feel whole again.
Send this to everyone you know and show them that you Belive Again
Delta Goodrem
And in that message we will make sure that Delta's name is on there so they will know who to look up. We can work on the forward message if you don't like it. I was just giving an example.
Getting clips of the songs or music video will be very simple for me. I could have the forward together in a few hours. And if all goes well, we could send both of them so everybody we send it to will get two waves of it.
So what do you guys think? Its kinda farfetched, but I think it is something fun to incorperate Delta into our daily lifes.
If you guys approve of this, and we agree on what we are doing, you can pm me (for privacy) with your cell phone number, and i'll send it to you. And don't worry about me keeping your number because i'll erase all of the messages once i'm done. And I have unlimited txt, pix, flix to any network so I don't mind doing it. Btw, I have verizon wireless.
So what do you think? I think it is a really cool idea and we should pursue it.

Nope. And if I did, I'd probably be telling off whoever was sending them lol. I hate getting forwards lol.

I think it could work, but only if you somehow managed to phone everybody in america, an keep the fact that is was you and your people secret, it could get you in trouble, I think, in sizable amount of trouble, so you'd have to be careful who you sent it too, but I think sending that kind of thing in a email would be more acceptable, in a Forward email, with some kind of threat or whatever, so then it could get sent along to heaps of people, and they'd find out about Delta and have their curiousity button pushed!...and then Delta would be more well known in the world!
I would use Brave Face:
Feels Like I'm Running With My High Heels On
Their Chasing Us Waiting For It All To Wrong
Your My Umbrella Against Their Sticks And Stones
As Long As We Keep Smiling
They'll Never Know
Put Your Brave Face On
Get Delta Goodrem ON!
^ it's got an urgency to it, which could appeal to people, it is a very attractive couple of lines, it has inspiration in it, and I just think people would be curious, in the sense of, what would make people do this, to this girl called Delta...Goodrem?...bam, people are researching her on Youtube/Itunes/whatever else, and there she is known in America, for those particularly good set of lyrics!

How would we get in trouble for a forward? the original forwarder could never be traced...i think. People use songs for forwards every day. And it wouldn't even be that bad if we used just the lyrics. And given the fact that email is no longer used for forwards, it would be alot quicker to spread her name.
And speaking of the way we could spread it all over the US. Well we have different fans all over the nation. But it all just depends on who they have on their contacts to make this a sucess.
For example...I live in NC with a population with 30,000 people. But I have 4 contacts that live elsewhere. 2 live in tennesee...both close to nashville, the music capitol of the world. And of course there are more people there. And then i have 2 more that live on the eastern side of the state, near charolette (if that is how you spell it.) And the place over there is pretty populated. And then of course once the message gets out to those people, there is no telling how many people could get it. But the more spread out we are to start the message, the better chances we have of getting her name out to more people.

well if you won't get in trouble, or get people irritated, then do it do it do it!...I support this idea, alot <3, even if I can't do it do it do it!

I just worry that 1. some people don't even read forwards before deleting them, and 2. a lot of people hate forwards, and we'd want them to see her in a positive light.

I always thought it was "broken place" but I have a history of mishearing lyrics lol (not usually Delta, but maaaaaaany others lol).

Well if we did just one, it wouldn't seem like it was an advertisement forward. People would just think of it as a forward.
I don't really prefer forward myself. But I receive tons of them and if I ever decided to forward them I have only had 1 out of 50 tell me they didn't want me to send anymore.

No doubt, it's a good idea. But is everyone to use their energy to send them forward to the others? And are they willing to, really check out the txt? Like I mean, will they read every word of it. If I got a message like this, I would be like eeh, oh alright, light, delta oh yea forward. It's just my thought, yea

^You're not the only one of your kind. I agree with you so much. Ads on newpapers, on TV, radio and such would be good enough.

And if it was BA:

Yeah you did mess up the lyrics. It should be:
You give me love
You give me light
Show me everything that's been happening
I've opened up my eyes
And in Believe Again it's:
My heart was a broken
place.

Well for the ITL forward I planned on it being that way. I knew what the true lyrics were.
And for BA...Haha I had no idea that was it.

Well I sorta did this idea last night, but incorporated Delta's ITL with a Message that had already been written up and a picture with it.
I actually got a good response from it.
If anybody wants me to send it to them just let me know.
