Well recently the dumbass, Perez Hilton, had sparked heaps of crap between the two singers by claiming that Christina was in fact copying Lady Gaga's style.

This has brought a rift between Gaga, who is not frankly worried, and Christina, who is unhappy with these claims.

After Christina's Video Music Award performance she was wildly compared to Lady Gaga, where her new track was also targetted as a "wanna be Lady Gaga hit".
Now a picture from Christina's new album photoshoot has surfaced and Perez thinks it looks remarkably like a screencap from Gaga's video clip for Just Dance.

Christina may not be stealing Lady GaGa's look but her stylist certainly is. And yeah, during the VMA performance when she started with the Genie 2.0 part, I kept looking at and I swore it was Lady GaGa.

Oh and the photo that Perez things is from the Just Dance video? Is it the one in the sweater and she's pulling it over her face? I thought it was so similar to the video as well.

No but the thing is, it's so recent with Lady GaGa doing it and then Christina does it - of course people are ging to compare them and maybe say that Christina is ripping her off. Is she? Not necessarily, no. Could the photographer? Possibly. That's the thing people don't get it. The look? Her stylist, most likely. The clothes? Again, stylist. The photoshoot? Photographer and stylist. The sound? Producers, writers, mixers, etc.

The reason why I picked GaGa instead of Christina is the way Christina handled the situation. It makes her look childish.

But that's how the industry is. Britney was always compared to Madonna and she was even compared to Christina as well. People will always be compared to someone from the past or from five days ago, it doesn't matter. I doubt she lets it bother her but saying something like "I don't even know if that's a man or a woman" is childish and makes her sound ignorant.

It wasn't just everyone in the 50's, either. It was mainly Marilyn Monroe. Scarlett Johansson got compared to her as well.

Yeah, I do know that's how the industry is but ever since like Britney's greatest hits she's been established and now she just can't be compared. Christina has got her greatest hits out, but she's being compared to some new girl which I promise you will not be around 5 years from now. At least compare her to someone like Gwen Stefani who has been here for almost two decades and has clearly inspired "Lady Gaga".

I'm the one person who voted neither. I really liked Christina through her early days {Dirrty etc} but since her last album I went majorly off her. She's become too much of a diva and always acts stuck up in her interviews, plus not to mention concert ticket prices that are just ridiculous for her second ever tour. I like how she takes a different direction each album though.
On the other hand I first heard about Lady GaGa on this forum a few weeks ago and youtubed her yesterday, and what's the fuss with her? One song was semi ok. The others sounded bad.
It's getting them both publicity though...

I was merely using Britney as an example. Someone saying we should have new acts in the music industry - saying that Christina should go, but at the same time someone who came on the scene at the same time ie. Britney should stay? The person I was replying to had a Britney sig, that's why I made an example of Britney. I would have said the same if it was Justin Timberlake, GA, anyone who has been around for a few years.

I don't agree with that Christina should go but she shouldn't have done a Greatest Hits album, too soon, honestly. She's been around as long as Britney but hasn't released as many albums as Britney, for example.

But I do agree that we need new people in the industry that aren't rap or hip hop artists and Lady GaGa isn't either of those things.
