New Wicked CD Will Feature Block, Ellis, Goodrem, Menzel, Rimes, Schwartz

Decca Broadway will release a special 5th Anniversary CD package of Wicked on Tuesday, October 28.

The two CD set feature will the show's original Broadway cast recording along with a bonus disc that will include a duet of "For Good," sung by Leann Rimes and Delta Goodrem; a pop version of "I'm Not That Girl," sung by current star Kerry Ellis; a dance mix version of "Defying Gravity," sung by Tony Award winner (and original Elphaba) Idina Menzel; and "Making Good," a song cut from the show sung by Stephanie J. Block, accompanied by Stephen Schwartz on the piano.

HOLY CRAP!!! This is amazing. And she's singing with LeAnn Rimes and "For Good" is my favourite song from Wicked after DG. OMGGG!!! This is awesome!! Can you tell I'm spazzing right nowww!!! I just wish they had asked Shoshana to do Defying Gravity. She practically owns that song.

um so did Delta and Rimes actually meet?? like did they sing together?? or did they both do separate parts at separate times??

I want to say they probably recorded it at separate times, because Delta didn't mention LeAnn to us when we saw her in New York in July. But that really doesn't mean anything...she very well could have recorded it with her.

Yeah and plus Leanne sang with Brian so i'm sure they sang together.

I'm looking forward to hearing the version of the song, it should be great.

I doubt Delta sang with LeAnn Rimes when recording it, its great publicity no matter what.

I love the music to Wicked. I just came back from a retreat and one of my friends chose a song from their to be her song for her talk. It is sooo beautiful and touching.

I wonder what song she will do! I need to go back and check the article out.

It is available on iTunes...I just bought it because I refuse to rebuy the entire album when I only have interest in one of the added songs.

I like it, Delta sounds great. Nothing amazing though (well for me, not a massive fan of the song.)

You could buy the physical cd.

I've tried finding an Aussie place that has the CD, but none of my usual shops seem to have it on their website.
I don't think they've released it here.

And I'm kinda broke atm anyway.

i dont know that a usa song will be available on an australian itunes but hopefiully i'll be able o get it somehow
