Ok guys i'm just thinking about why IE and MI isn't in the USA. I think they are perfectly capable of making it here in the USA. And they show a side of Delta that not many USA fans know. So i'm just wondering if Delta is planning on ever releasing those two albums. Now i know she tried that by renaming IE with BTT. But maybe now that she is healthy and more capable of selling that album, she may do better. Now i don't think right now is the time. Because with the 'Delta' album already out, people will get confused. Then there is the Australia tour, then she may try a full length tour in the USA, and maybe an international tour, with promotion for her singles all over the world. I'm thinkin that when she is recording for her 4th album, that will be the time to release them. That way since she, by that time, will be famous in the USA, and the Albums won't need much promotion. So what do you think?

No. Why would she revisit her past. It would only make sense if it was the debut release, in the way it was with Japan, but if she did it after debut release its like going backwards when shes already progressing.
I think they should get an iTunes release so people can get familiar with her songs but not as a full on release singles and promote it type of release.

It might be better if Sony release them as a 'best of' after 'Delta' is more well known or is not been promoted. I guess we'll find out as there may be something in a contract that states Delta can release them through Decca, as she owns most of the music.

I'm sure sometime down the road the songs will be released to the public in some form. I'm actually seeing imports of the two albums here around New York, and that's something I never saw before she released her album here. She's been singing some old songs at her shows lately too, so it's not like she's trying to hide them. I definitely do think it's possible that they will reach the general public at some point, but not as singles. I think a digital release and maybe a limited physical release could happen.

Yeah i wouldn't expect singles, but it would be cool to maybe have a revamped version of the two, or just leave them the way they are and just sell them on itunes and such. Even though it may be going into the past, i think the americans deserve those albums.

I don't know if that's a good way of looking at it, Brad. She's shown that she is willing to always sing her old songs, save for a couple from MI. And lately in the US she's been performing LWY and at Salt Lake she performed even more. So it's not as if she's trying to hide anything from us.

IE is over here. I've never had any trouble finding that one here or in the US, prolly cuz LWY was released here. I've never seen MI in a store here though. If she gets really big over here then they'll prolly start selling copies over here, but I don't think there would be like an official big release of it or anything.

But that's how Delta's put it herself. She said she didn't want to do the compilation of her past songs because that's not who she is right now. Maybe it's not revisiting the past but I don't think she wants to promote the past stuff since both of them were about two very different mindsets.
I think they'll get a release eventually but more like a download-only on iTunes, Amazon, etc. and maybe some stores will carry imports but I don't see it actually getting a promoted release.

She doesn't want to release them. However, she clearly doesn't mind sharing them with the public during her performances.

I don't think it'll be released to be promoted, although it may be released as downloads only or quietly in store. I can't see her promoting it either.

I agree with those who want IE and MI on itunes. It would have been cool if there was some special Delta edition with an extra disk of her past singles. She does talk about her story every time she gets interviewed and people will want to know more about her past since she's a new artist here. Then again Born To Try and Possessionless explains everything much quicker. Just a suggestion I suppose.

I agree with Brad. Depending on the success of 'Delta' her record company may choose to release Ie & MI but they shouldn't be promoted or anything. An example of this is Amy Winehouse; after the amazing success of Back To Black, her debut album Frank was released in the US too. It was more for the fans than anything esle, but it still got within the top 100 albums, I think around #65? That's wthout any promo..

I just think that there should no longer be diversity between the USA and Australia. I feel that the USA now deserves to hear the other albums, and when we mention the 2nd or 1st album to future fans or members they won't be like "there are other albums?"

You'd be surprised. Most people can and probably would look her up if they're really interested. If they do, they'd see she did have two more albums and may import them.

yeah, I think its just polite, if people want to get it, on a cd, why deny them that right, and I dont' want her to promote it, but I don't think they should deny people a right to get to know Delta, which includes her past, and I think a listeners they should be able to hear how she got to this point, like, every time I start to like an artist I've haven't been following their whole story, I usually want to get their whole collection of albums because then you get choice and variety!....and you find other songs you like, and learn to love the artist more...that to me is a bloody big point to it!
