Ok. Here we go. SO. I headed down to good old Niagara Falls and met up with Shane and his sister outside the Hard Rock Café at about 2, and they had closed the restaurant to get ready for the show so we just chilled outside for a loooooooong time lol and then my mom and I went in the gift shop and were chatting up the woman who worked there, and she didn’t seem to think there was any point in waiting around, but if past experience has proven anything, it’s that Shane and I will sit on the sidewalk all day and wait for her rofl, which is essentially what I told the woman. So we sat and sat and sat and my mom was saying she didn’t think anyone was coming for sound check, and I was like but that’s so weird, who doesn’t do sound check before a show. I did that once, and never made that mistake again lol. So we continued to wait lol and my mom and I were making fun of each other as usual lol and I was trying to stay awake (I’m seriously SO tired that I don’t know how I’m still awake and typing this) and then at around 5:15 I see Shane get up and start walking around the front door and I was like ooo what are we getting excited about?! And it turns out that his sister had spotted Delta arriving (kudos to her, cuz Delta wasn’t in a black SUV like I was expecting lol so I never would have noticed) and so we ran over to say hi and she hugged us and everything and she asked if we were coming to the show that night and I was like “yeah, we get to come inside this time!” lol and we laughed. And then my mom pointed out our bracelets so I gave Delta the bag that I put them in for her and she gave one to Dale and Rich right away and I told her about them and about how $1 from each is gonna go to her charity and she said I was an angel (*swoon*) and hugged me. And then she asked if there were any songs we wanted to hear that night and I was like BURN FOR YOU!! lol. Cuz I’m like, in love with that song, and she said they’d do it for sure, so I was happy lol. And then she had to go inside and the doors were locked so we couldn’t get in so we went and staked out the front of the line to get in. Well, there wasn’t really a line so we made one lol.
So me, being ever the creeper, went and watched some of sound check through the front doors (and she totally knew I was there lol and smiled at me a couple times) and then I went back to line for a while, but I got all anxious about how long she was gonna be so I kept going to different windows and trying to see inside lol. So finally I got tired of being the spy and sent my mom to spy lol and she came running back saying that Delta was getting ready to go, so we ran back down to the front door while my mom held our place in line, and then we tried to act casual while we waited for Delta to come out, but I’ pretty sure we failed miserably lol. So then she came out and we talked to her again, and I honestly can’t remember for the life of me right now what we were talking about lol but I asked if we could get a picture quickly and of course, being such a sweetheart, she said of course so we each got pics with her, and then she left to go get ready and said she’d us later that night.
So we went and got back in line and we only had to wait like 5 more min and then we were the first ones in and we bought raffle tickets for this pink guitar that’s autographed by all the performers and then we sat down at a table and waited. They were late getting started and the first girl had to do her sound check right before it started, so she didn’t start her set until about 7:45. She was really sick, but she was actually pretty good. I recognized one of her songs, and I liked her style. Then they were setting up for the next person and we were pretty sure it was Delta since we didn’t know if the other guy was gonna be using the keyboard, so we were getting excited, and then at around 8:30 she came out and the guy announced her and there was SO much cheering, and everyone started getting up and moving to the front where the stage was, so we got up and ran over there too. It was packed for like her whole set. My mom stayed at the table and she said that you couldn’t even see the stage cuz there were so many people up there. The set list was:
ITL, BA, Possessionless, BV, BTT, LWY, BFY, and YWOBMH.
She said so many cute funny things while she was up there. I’ll never remember all of them lol. Anyways, she was absolutely FANTASTIC. Like, SO bang on. It was amazing. The venue was really small too. Like I don’t think there were much more than like 100, maybe 200 people there. But they all seemed to really want to see her. So we took pics and video and stuff while she was up there. And then after one of the songs, I think it was while she was introducing BV, and she was saying how she wanted to do something to help us have some more fun since we’re still learning her songs, and then she pointed at me and she was like “I know you know them all, I see you there singing along to everything!” And then she came through the audience during BV and sang to a couple ppl (including shane!! Hehehe) and then she was dancing on the piano bench and stuff, it was awesome. Everyone went crazy for it. And then I remember her saying something about eating chocolate for breakfast, but I really don’t remember where that came from lol.
OMG I actually just fell asleep while I was typing this lol. And then I jumped and hit a bunch of keys lol.

OOOOOK after almost 12 hours of sleep, I am back lol. I’m still really tired and kind of out of it, but I’ll do my best lol.
Ok, now where was I. BV right? K so then she did BTT and LWY and talked a bit about how BTT was her first #1 and she was 16 when she wrote it, and how LWY was the song she first came over here with in 2005. And then she looked at Rich and they were kinda going over something and she was like “I look at Rich like he has all the answers, and I just go ‘Rich what should we do’?” lol. And then she started introducing BFY and she said something about how her and Rich had been playing together for years, and he never gets any better but he does his best rofl and then she said there were 2 songs left, and that this was a romantic song so if there’s someone in the room that you like, tell them now and that the next song is a breakup song, so if there’s someone in the room you don’t like and you’re going to break up with them, wait and do it in the next song lol. So then she started BFY and she came down off the stage and went to dance with some guy, but he was really shy lol and she was like “I’m not strage, I promise! Am I really that scary?” lol. And then she was like “is that your wife?” And pointed to the woman next to him and he said yes and she was like “ok, you can dance with her then” lol and she went back up on the stage. And then after she was like “Rich I would have gotten you to dance with someone but you were busy playing the guitar. But maybe you should do both, you could do two things at once. Does anyone want to go on a date with Rich? We could do that. It’s a good cause Rich, I think you should.” rofl. It was amazing.
Then she did YWOBMH and she was teaching us the ah-ah-ah part and she was like “the lyrics are really easy! It’s ah ah ah, ah ah, ah ah ah ah ah…. I think that’s enough ahs” and then she said that when they were there last time (and I was like WTF there was a last time?! Why did I not know about this?!) they had practice, so we should be really good at it this time, and the first time she had us do it everyone totally chickened out lol and she was like “you had practice last time! It’s gone downhill!” lol so we practiced again and she was gonna keep going and Rich stopped playing and we were all laughing and she was like “ok Rich, just stop playing then. I guess that’s all the practice we get”. So the song started, and I think it was in the beginning of this that she started doing that dance from the behind the scenes vid when she was singing PCD lol and she was like “people dance like this right?” lol. And then she sang it and her and rich have this cute little like rocker thing when they say “why should I give you everything” and it was awesome lol so we did our singalong ah ah ahs lol and it was awesome, and everyone cheered for her so much. Like, it was so loud I thought she might do an encore lol.
Then she started to go back to the back room where all the artists had been coming out, but someone stopped her to talk to her and that just like, started the landslide of people lol and I swear like half the room flocked over there and got in line to see her. So of course we joined the line lol and we talked to Dale a bit while we were waiting, and then we got up there and I remember we were talking to them about the US tour diary thing in the Aussie newspapers and how excited we were to see our pics, and we were talking about the wristbands, and Delta was like “I forgot mine! I walked in the door and I looked down and I was like OH NO! I promise I’ll wear it tomorrow!” lol and Dale and Rich had theirs on all night. I don’t blame her, I already lost one of mine lol (I bought myself 2 cuz I knew I’d lose at least one lol) and I’ve only had them for 2 days. Then we got some CDs signed (omg she wrote such nice things on mine, I almost cried when I read them lol) and we got pics and stuff and then we said goodbye and hugged her and left cuz we were holding up traffic lol.
Rich was right by our table so we went and talked to him and got a pic with him. And we asked him a couple questions since we finally had time lol, and he said that there’s going to be a Bare Hands remix when he gets time, and that there’s going to be some new tracks, and we asked about what their plans were for after the Aussie tour and he said the plan was to come back over here and I was like “yay for us!” lol and he said it was yay for them too cuz they love it over here and they have a place in NY now. And then I mentioned that I heard the BA remix in a store not too long ago and he said that when they released it in Aus, like 2 weeks later the US ppl were calling up and asking about it and wanting it. And then we talked about the behind the scenes vid where he’s dancing with Delta’s dress ROFL and it was awesome. He was like “I didn’t know they were filming me, and then I go and it’s all over the internet!” lol. And then he said he hasn’t had much of a chance to come on the forum lately cuz they’ve been so busy. And by then the line to see Delta was finishing up lol so he had to go, so we said goodbye and sat down at our table, and right when I sat down, my mom pointed to Delta and said “who’s that guy she’s with, he looks familiar” and I look over and she’s hugging this guy and then he turns and is walking towards the crowd, which involves walking past our table so I saw his face and I was like omg I think that’s the guy she has like 6 tour dates with. So I pointed him out to Shane and I was like, is that him? I think it is! So we debated for a while about whether or not we should randomly go over and say hi and ask him lol but then we saw him talking to Dale and Rich and we were like ya ok, it’s def him lol.
So by the time things calmed down enough for Emerson Hart to come onstage, it was almost 10pm. We waited around until the end of his set and watched Delta go back and forth from the VIP room to backstage lol. And then at one point during his set while Delta was in the VIP room, EH was like “Delta is fabulous, isn’t she? What an amazing voice” and he looked over at her and we all cheered and he was like “It’s such a drag, being beautiful and having a great voice isn’t it?” lol and we were all laughing and she came over to the door of the VIP room and watched his next song. And then shortly after that she went backstage and didn’t come back, so we assume she left lol. We talked to a couple people afterwards and they were all really impressed with Delta. She is definitely getting quite the following in upstate NY.
Some overall notes, I felt kinda bad for Leslie and EH cuz it was like, REALLY obvious that Delta was the favourite lol. No one even got up when Leslie was onstage and only like one row of people stayed up there for EH. And neither one of them got stopped on their way backstage lol. Some of the best fun of the night was laughing at “random creeper guy” as I called him lol who was the one walking around with a giant pic of him with Delta and a marker and like, talking to himself and looking around the room all suspiciously, and then somehow he got a mini poster for the event and then he started tracking down the other performers to get it signed lol and he took his pic witih Leslie and we were like ‘watch out, he’s going to come to her next show with a giant pic of them together!’ lol. Ya, I felt kinda bad about it, cuz I suppose I’m sort of a random creeper too lol, but I like to think I don’t look or act creepy other than always being there lol and he looked and acted creepy and he was there alone but kept acting like he was looking for someone lol. And I’m sure there were people making fun of us for being random creepers too lol. He really was entertaining tho. He reminded me of this guy in my program at school that my friends and I always watch in class cuz he’s really funny to watch. I’m such a horrible person lol. But I’ve taken my fair share of bashing too, so I guess the universe balances out. I was also endlessly entertained by the fact that every time the backstage door opened, my mom, shane and I would all look over there at the same time lol. I found that quite hilarious. Maybe I was just sleep deprived, but I laughed like every time lol.
So yeah, I think that’s pretty much everything. If I remember anything else I’ll add it. I think I’m going to have a nap lol and then I’ll try to get up the vids and the pics of us with her later tonight, and then on Tuesday I’ll upload my good ones. I have to finish doing red eye correction on them anyways, cuz it was so dark I had to use my flash. There was some random guy who was like semi-drunk who stood like dead centre in the front for Delta and kept moving so he took up like the maximum space possible lol so he’s in the way of one of my vids and I think there might be me swearing at him in the background lol but hopefully there’s not lol. The rest of the vids are pretty good I think except for being dark.
