I can't believe nobody made a thread about her. Anyway , you all know Britney Spears , she's a living legend. All the controversy started when the Baby one more time video was launched and the Rolling Stones photoshoot. She's the only singer in history (both US and worldwide) to have 4 consecutive albums debuted no.1 in Top 200 Billboard. She also sold about 90 million copies and she's ranked as the 8th best selling woman artist in American History. 1 of 12 families worldwide own one of her albums.

she's in the best place ever in her whole life, she's not being over worked or over commited, she see's her beautiful sons, she civilised with her mother, she works when she wants and right now she's song-writing/choosing to do music by herself and she's even doing interviews,and she doesn't feel the need to be rebelious and do stupid stuff to prove she has control over her OWN life, she's GOOOOOOD!...and the VMA theory rocks me too!

No one knows if she is performing or not, whether Larry Rudolph said she was, I don't fully believe it. He said that she wasn't recording earlier this year and just playing the piano and such and then a couple weeks later he said she was recording an album after a few producers said they were working on her new album.

I hope she does a world tour, if she's ready.

Oh dear. Britney Spears had some good songs on her first album, but it's all been downhill from there. She should just live off royalties and focus on being a responsible mother. I guess she's halfway there, having lived responsibly for many months.

aww i do love britney, she seems like such a sweet girl despite all her problems, and i love how everyone does want her to get better. i know i really want to see her back to her old self, it was horrible seeing her like she has been the past year or so. not good. but she looks amazing now so its good to see she is on the up!

im excited about her new music, but i hope it'll be a little more stripped dowm than blackout - i want to hear her voice way more and have her actually sing and not sound like a robot. but then i guess she was going through a lot when she recorded that album, so hopefully this new one will be like that.

I have a everlasting hatred for people who still think she's sick, or even think she was sick, she was being rebelious, cuz you party and do some attention seeking slightly strange things DOES NOT mean that your "sick"...she was rebelling, from her family and everything else...I mean, as far as me, a person who always checks out on whenever something comes on about her, she seemed just to be rebelious, just a little rebelious section, and most of the fans have come round and been logical about that whole PAST situation...they're just, now she's being nice and simple and normal chick, which is what we all want!....VMA's Was a great sweet revenge on the true fans on the people who are fickle about her, in general!

Its good thats she trying to live a normal live. I really dislike her music, and I wouldn't call her a living legend mostly because she is not that good at singing but its good she's back for her own sake

Uhh...Christina Aguilera never had an album called Circus

and if she did, it's not like it's against the law for artists to have albums with the same name. If that were the case, then you'd have to say that Delta stole the title 'Mistaken Identity' from Kim Carnes or Donna Summer, who both had albums by the same title at least ten years before Delta ever released hers.

Anyway.......

I'm SO glad to see that Britney truly is back, and I cannot wait to hear Womanizer, let alone the rest of the album!

Back to Basics had an overwhelming 1920s-40s jazz theme. Any circus elements were easily overshadowed by the jazz.

Just because Britney's album title is 'Circus' does not mean it follows the theme of a circus! If you want to think so, go right ahead. I feel the title is appropriate because if you look at her life for the past year or two, it has been like...a circus

She will call it Circus because the media will turn into a circus when she'll come back. Actually Xtina is the one that copies.

No ofcourse I don't know if she is going to use Circus as a theme.....but still you call your album that way so you are trying to say something. i think britney is taking a new and completely different direction than christina did..

I admit i thought of Christina's last album/tour as well, but 'Circus' could refer to a few things. I'm thinking it relates to the media circus that surrounds her, or where people just watch and don't do anything besides that. It'll be interesting to see how Britney interprets it!!

Have you seen Christina's VMA performance? Her outfit looked THE SAME as the outfit that Britney had on the opening of The Onyx Hotel tour.

they r both great artists with different interpretations and meanings to songs

music it's not all about the voice of an artist. it doesn't matter if an artist can sing but it's a - , just like xtina. britney has a good voice , not as good as christina's but still good but she has charisma and she attracts people with that. she doesn't spend time criticizing xtina , just like xtina does to her , let me quote:

Stop comparing Britney and Christina, honestly They're different artists, and most artists have something that's similar to another artist, does not mean that they "copied" each other.
