For those of you who have actually completed a story of any type, I salute you. It's a process that becomes all encompassing and dominates your life for a while. We write for different reasons. For me, it's because I can't afford therapy!
In the screenplay that I just finished "LOVE IN THE TIME OF WAR", I have a character named Annie. She's an Australian woman from Newcastle, NSW who marries an American Army Intelligence Officer. She's a beautiful blond, loves her father, is very confident and will not let anyone tell her what to do..............Do you know anyone like this that would be good in the role? I do. Her name is Delta! To be honest, I wrote the role based on a very special Australian girl to me, Rose, who actually does live in Newcastle. Because your story is your baby, only the best will do. That is why I chose Delta for the role. When I met Delta in Las Vegas two months ago at the VEGAS MAGAZINE party at the Palazzo, I knew I was right. As she walked off stage and up to me, I said to myself,"Oh my god she's beautiful". Evidentially, it wasn't quite to myself. I said it out loud which was brought to my attention via a slap on the arm by another very special girl to me, Dani, who lives in Las Vegas.
Funny thing is that I'm an American and chose an Australian for the role but Rose, an Australian, chose an American to play the role! I stopped trying to figure out women a long time ago.
I would love to know whom you would pick for the main roles in the story: Mark, Anya, Annie, Jonathan and Rose. For the role of Anya, my choice is either Anne Hathaway or Natalie Imbruglia. It's good to dream!

***As I write this, I just watched Phelps get Gold Medal #8. Australia was right there for Silver. My two favorite countries right with one another. It doesn't get better then that! Way to go Australia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
