Pols to play Jap last night n they meant to show on SBS i think, but then they air the china's game instead, so i waited n waited n they didnt even show it. I like the Pols girl with #1 on her shirt, she won like a 10 points for Pols in the first set n 9 on the second set when they play against China.

this guy is insane! broke the world record by 0.03 secs and did it even when he started celebrating 10m before the finish line
At just 21 he's definitely going to have no problem beating it again sometime in the future especially after that run!

What can we say about Usain Bolt? He's fast but was a bit arrogant by slowing down with 10m to go, which meant he could have run 9.65 sec or even quicker. But Bolt would not have its own way had Tyson Gay qualified for the final.

I thought it was stupid for him to not concentrate the whole 100m as I'm sure he would have smashed his record by probably 0.1 secs instead and would have pushed it even more beyond what anyone else has ever done.

Poor Hackett!!! Really would have loved to for to take home gold!!! Really deserved it!!! So now that means that no men at all in the swimming took home gold.

^ That's a bit of shame for the male Aussie swimmers. Before the Games, head swimming coach Alan Thompson has warned of a form decline from the swimmers. Looks like it has begun.

*Sigh* I was discussing this earlier with my good friend Summer & my mother, I really feel sorry for the Swimmers this year not only were they thrown into chaos because of that dude... can't remember his name at this time but I have no clue why but this year Australia in general seems to putting more pressure on the swimmers to do really well more then usual.

Also johnson not sure if it's because you worded it wrong but you said swimmers would be declining but yet the females have done extremely well at the Olympics so I'd re-word that the only swimmer I've been personally annoyed at was Leisel Jones with the whole fainting thing. My friend Summer is swimmer and takes it quite serious, she was right in saying someone of her talent and level shouldn't be having those problems at this current time no excuse , sure she was concentrating on winning but she's been trained to swim correctly - breathing right and everything. If she knew she was pushing she should of slowed it down Silver or Bronze isn't something swimmers should be ashamed of.

Also just because none of the males took home Gold doesn't mean there's a decline - Grant was very, VERY close behind the person who came first if he was in decline he'd be back near third.

As well as that I believe people or aka Australia in general are still believing our Swimmers have to pull a Ian Thorpe. aka always having to pull gold or breaking some record.

I've watched some rowing and sailing this morning, team GB have done amazingly I think we've won 4 golds today so we're now up to 3rd on the medal rankings.

i have watched it at first Untill Egypt Un-fairly lost to Russia in the Hand Ball game cuze of the foul that should have been against Russia but then they said it was against Egypt so our team didn't have time to retreat & be on Guard

haha yeah I woke up this morning and turned on channel seven to watch olympics lol.

Well the Olympics are over and the Paralympics are just over two weeks away (it will be shown on the ABC). Nine and Foxtel have the Australian rights to Vancouver 2010 Winter Games and London 2012 Summer Games, but I also believe that Foxtel are eyeing the rights to London 2012 Paralympic Games. Do you think Seven should bid for the 2012 Paralympics to at least continue its association with the Olympic movement in some fashion?

Nah leave it to ABC to have Paralympics, its fair coz SBS got the complimentary coverage... the littler stations should have something too! hehe

I hope Nine do a good job. I did get a little annoyed at Seven a few times...because I was really interested in an event but they switched to it only to watch the Australian compete and then put something else on.

Hopefully the London coverage might span over a couple of Nine's channels so they can show a few events at once.

I'm so lost without the olympics! lol, it's kind of good though, because i was a zombie while they were on, staying up way too late watching everything.
