& why are they closed?

the data is still left on the site, it's just stupid closing a topic that doesn't need it..

Hmm I agree, I think they shouldn't be closed so early...

I don't think they should be closed at all. My view is that when the moderators close them, they stay there and then there's another thread opened so that puts one extra thread in the area wherever it is which makes the forum slow. & also, the moderators end up having to close topics when people don't see new threads and make one themselves. I just think they shouldn't ever be closed.

I completely agree. I am going to check with nimda to see if we can leave them be. Just never close them.

I was even thinking, picture threads - maybe they could be close dbecause they have a lot of stuff in them. But even then when the are closed, all the data remains.

It annoys me. Haha.
