Miley Cyrus wants to kill off Hannah Montana

Pop sensation Miley Cyrus wants to kill off her alter ego Hannah Montana... but Disney isn't about to let the starlet get away with murder.

In a recent interview with E! Online, Miley revealed that the upcoming third season of her mega-popular tween sitcom Hannah Montana may be the last.

The reason 15-year-old Miley wants out is simple: she's apparently had enough of filming the show. "I just think we did a lot of episodes [last season]," she told E! "We basically did two seasons in one last year. Usually people would do one season that would be, like, 16 episodes, and we did almost 30 episodes!"

Miley, who celebrates her 16th birthday in November, started shooting Hannah Montana when she was just 11. "It seems like it's been on, like, longer," she added.

Miley is no doubt confident that her fame will endure without Hannah Montana - her latest album Breakout recently topped the US music charts - but it seems that Disney is in denial about bidding farewell to one of its best earners.

"Miley [is]... delighted to be part of the Disney family," a Disney rep wrote to E! "We start production on the third season of Hannah Montana on August 4 and have an option for a fourth season beyond that. We look forward to the Hannah Montana feature film coming to a theatre near you in Spring 2009."

In Australia, someone has been cutting off the head of Zac Efron on cardboard High School Musical 3 ads!

How can they do that to our boy!?

So far there have been three fake Zac decapitations. And yet Vanessa Hudgens and the others remain totally unharmed (whew!).

Can anybody explain the strange crime?

"We knew there were huge numbers of fanatical High School Musical fans out there but who'd have thought they would go to this extreme?" said one publicist for Disney. "Zac Efron is currently one of the hottest properties in Hollywood so there is no surprise people here are trying to get a piece of him."

Cuties Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez are reluctant to confirm their boyfriend/girlfriend relationship status with the rest of us.

The kids are already exhibiting some savvy Hollywood behavior!

However, Jonasphiles and Selena fanatics have discovered that the duo 'outed' their relationship in two different interviews.

Selena told Twist magazine:

"I had dinner on the beach with a crush and there were lights on the palm trees! Then, went walking on the beach, and after that we slow danced. Wait, it gets better. While we were slow dancing…my crush and I had our first kiss! And after it, I leaned back and I said, 'You cheated.' And he said, 'Why' and I said, 'I don't kiss on the first date.' Then he said, 'Well, I never really play by the rules.' I was waiting for a a director to say, 'Cut' I was like, 'Are we shooting this right now?"

Nick Jonas also recently shared with Girls' Life magazine:
