I would like to make a suggestion for how the forum sections should be laid out, there has been many discussions on certain areas being added and others being removed and I think it's time Admin listened.

This is how I think the forum should be:

Announcements and FAQs

• Official Announcements
• FAQs
• Introduce Yourself

Delta Goodrem

• Delta Related
• New Delta (for anything new relating to Delta - new album, new photos, new singles, etc.)
• Tours and Appearances
• Talk to Delta (previously Messages to Delta, subforum: Forum Chats)
• Delta Fan Sites

[Removing Remix Studio because it's not needed as the competition is over.
Removing USA Related because is it really needed? To have a USA related, you would have to have a section related to every country that Delta has a career in.
Removing Hating Alison Ashley because there is no new discussion related to this, it's also been years since HAA was out.]

• Creative Area (for Graphics AND any other kind of creativity - poetry, fiction, etc.)

I think Admin should seriously consider this - I feel that 6 forum sections in general and 6 in Delta (with the 3 extra in the other Delta section) is just too much. New members may feel overwhelmed by the amount of sections, it would be better to minimise - even if it just involves making subforums, to cut down on the number seen from the home page.

I think that maybe we don't need feedback and suggestions as a forum any more, a lot of suggestions have been taken into account and put into place. Maybe replace it with a pinned THREAD for feedback in General?

I reckon that music, TV and movies should stay the way they are. It'll just get too crowded and confusing.. and I think most people like that bit the way it is now. I don't really care about the Delta Related area, but I do agree that there is a lot of sections, and people seem to want more of them.

As good as it is having them separate, they are the least active of the general area - General has about 75000 topics, Graphics has 32000 - if you add Music/TV&Movies together you barely get 16000! There wouldn't be enough activity for it to get too confusing I don't think.

They could have a Media Section with subforums as someone suggested though - TV/Movies, Music, Other Media (books, news, etc.)

I think USA Related should stay, otherwise when events are added it may be confusing because they could think its for australians... and so on.

Someone suggested added flags to the icons we can add to a post - then when a topic is related to a certain country you can add that flag and people know.

I just see a USA Related as paving a way for every single country to have their own forum section - which isn't going to happen. Japan never got their own section and when Delta was doing well in the UK years ago, we never got our own section. If only the US gets their own section, that isn't fair on the rest of the world.

I think you have planned everything well there Except I'd just put all the stuff that would be in "New Delta" in with the Delta Related stuff because I don't think there's enough stuff to be put into a section all on it's own.

No, there probably isn't! I just thought that since Admin introduced the New Album section then I might as well add a new part suggestion, if they're not keen on removing it. But yeah I agree, it should just all be Delta Related!!!

USA Related is linked from Delta's Decca site so it's here to stay by the look of it!

Not many people use 'Delta Fansites' anymore, so those topics could be moved to the 'Creative Area', if there was one.

'USA Related' could turn into 'Australian & International Related', and there could be a sub-forum for all of the countries that Delta has/is going to release an album in, so that people don't get confused. In the 'Australian' sub-forum, there could be topics about Delta's tours and appearances. (The 'Tours & Appearances' section could be removed and the topics could move).

I don't think we need a 'New Delta' section. There are a lot of topics for new photos and things like that, but they don't take up enough room in 'Delta Related' for their own forum.

The 'Introduce Yourself' section isn't used as much as it could be, and it could be removed. Not everyone goes there, so people would get to know people better if they introduced themselves in 'General Discussions' instead, like they used to.

I think it would be better to keep 'Graphics Discussions' the way it is, because it is one of the most used sections on the forum.

I think having an Introduce Yourself thread in general would be a lot better than a whole section!

Definetly no "new Delta" otherwise wats the point of Delta related?

I would maybe keep Hating Alison Ashley section, maybe keep it as read only?
Keep the remix studio as it was alot of fun...just maybe put a notice in its description saying "Competition now closed, thanks to all who entered" sorta thing.

Definately update the Forum Led bys...I mean have the forums you don't know whos running them...(well you know whos mods and all that but if i was a USA fan coming to the forums I'd think it was un-organised)

Maybe move this Forum Feedback Section to Announcments....as this is the first time ive noticed the actual place!


As someone said...USA forum, once its time could be turned into an "International Related" for all the places still to get "DELTA"

LOL, no I didn't actually, I've just been around a lot of forums and learnt stuff.

Noo don't agree with that.

I like how they are all separately now! if they got merged it'd just be really weird.
