Two things I want to say before commenting on tonight's show.
1. Sorry to hear that Levi has died. I think his death will be mentioned at the end of tomorrow's verdict show.
2. Voting is NOW OPEN across Australia. So if you live in QLD, SA, NT or WA, don't wait until the end of the show to cast your vote. In particular, if you live in WA, vote for your favourite singer as hard as you can until 7.30pm local time, then enjoy the performances.

Now on to tonight. All but two finalists had their own interpretations of ABBA songs. Some were good, some were bad.
Roshani's costume was sexy And was the plucking of a plastic dollar note from John Foreman's back pocket pre-meditated?
And I am still puzzled as to how Thanh got a Touchdown (and from Marcia)?
Sophie and Chrislyn did well tonight, but Wes and Mark overcooked it. I think those two guys and Madam will be in the bottom 3.

LOGAN'S Australian Idol success story Levi Kereama has died in a suspected suicide just hours after performing at a Brisbane festival at the weekend.
The Parklife Festival played Brisbane's Botanic Gardens and Riverstage from noon to 10pm on Saturday, and at 10.30pm police received calls to an inner city hotel to a suspected suicide.
Police arrived to find Kereama, 23, deceased after falling from the balcony of his upper-floor room where he had been staying after his performance that day.
"I thought it was a computer desk or a coffee table or something being thrown out the window," one hotel resident said.
Kereama is believed to have been suffering from depression, although it is not known if he was receiving medication for his illness.
In 2003, Kereama took part in the first season of Australian Idol, earning himself a wildcard entry to the final 12 alongside Guy Sebastian and Shannon Noll.
Despite being eliminated in week four, his singing career took off with family band Lethbridge, where he performed alongside brothers Jules, Ezra and Lane Kereama.
The Parklife Festival was held in Brisbane on Saturday, and moved on to Sydney's Moore Park for another full day of performances on Sunday.

I was never a fan of him or anything, But I remember him from idol.. (even though I was like 11 ) and now I'm feeling sad.

RIP to him and love to his family.

Just saw a new promo for the ARIA Awards which will be shown at 7.30pm on Sunday October 19. This means the Idol final 7 performance will air at 6.30pm and will be pre-recorded.

The Idol website has corrected an error regarding the clue for one of 10 Australia's Most Loved Songs, as part of the McDonald's competition. The clue which appeared in last week's issue of NW, is in relation to the song in #4, not #7. The song was performed by a former member of Take That, and someone correctly guessed it was Angels by Robbie Williams.

The two clues revealed so far are:
Clue 1: From the album FutureS-x/Lovesounds, the song in #8 topped the ARIA singles chart in 2006.
Clue 2: Position #4 is by an English singer who was once in boy band Take That.

OK, so he didn't perform well on the show, but he CAN sing. And he hasn't been blaming the judges, that was the media. He's a great singer and I'm sure he'll have a successful career.

I think it's a good thing that he left idol; it wasn't right for him. But please look at anything the media reports with a critical eye. He definately didn't say all that stuff.

Tonight's show:

Chrislyn: what happened there?? She was terrible!

Sophie: I thought she did a good job

Thanh: Wow, he was brilliant! First time he's really impressed me, but that was just an amazing performance! Sounded like it could have been off a Disney soundtrack, though

Roshani: Not bad, definately not the best performance of the night, though.

Wes: Started off slow, but he saved himself nicely Not my fav in the competition, but he was alright tonight.

Mark: He was terrible!

Madam: Decent. She sounded alright, but she changed the song around enough that I don't think people will be thrilled with that performance...

Teale: He was great

Luke: OMG, he totally destroyed my favourite ABBA song! Hope he goes. Or Mark or Wes or Madam.
