Chris Isaak, ‘Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing’. “This week Chris Isaak is going to be our mentor and that’s partially why I am going to do ‘Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing’. I like to sing a song in front of its original artist to get their opinion on it. I dig the song and I know the song, so I don’t have to learn as many lyrics as I used to.”



REM, ‘Everybody Hurts’. “It’s just one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Everyone wants to hear me sing a big rock song, and I am rock singer, but I’m more of an acoustic, romantic songwriter. Songs like ‘Everybody Hurts’ are dear to my heart, so hopefully it works. I’m kinda glad we do two songs this week, cuz it means we’re back to only doing 1.30min each song, as opposed to 2min each song.”



Teale
JT, ‘What Goes Around’. “It’s definitely my favourite of his. It’s really popular and I love the feel of it. It shows a different side of what I can do. I think JT’s a genius; very creative and an awesome performer.”

John Mayer, ‘No Such Thing’. “This song is very similar to some of the songs I’d like to bring out after Idol. It’s got a really cool, open, happy feel. Musically, it’s very much where I’d like to be as an artist. I think John, like myself, has that soul pop rock vibe that I’ve been talking about, so we can sprock on together!”



Luke
The Eagles, ‘One of these Nights’. “I don’t think you can get more American than The Eagles - they’ve had hit after hit, ever since they started. It’s a song about one of these nights I’ll get this or that done – ‘one of these nights, I’m gonna put a band together, one of these nights I’ll have that car’”.

Creed, ‘With Arms Wide Open’. “That’s a song that the lead singer wrote when he found out he was gonna be a dad, and I thought to myself, if I became a shearer again after the show, at least my boy can look back and think I did one of them for him. It kinda suits my voice, it’s a slow rock song that was very popular when it first came out.”



Wes
Louis Armstrong, ‘What a Wonderful World’. “It’s one of my favourite songs ever. It’s one of those songs I put on to get to sleep when I was a kid. It’s very well written – and it’s positive and happy. And very appropriate for the times too. It was quite challenging to chose an American hit - a lot of the American songs aren’t really up my alley cuz they are R‘n’B based these days.”

The Killers, ‘When You Were Young’. “I chose this song because I’ve loved it since it came out. It reminds me of an old Meatloaf song. It’s just a rock-out moment. And it’s very different to my other song.”

So the show will go overtime because each finalist will perform two songs.

and Wes has sang 'When You Were Young' by the Killers and he did a Great job.

Didn't like Teale just then, maybe because I love that John Mayor song..

Tickets to the grand final outdoor concert, outside the Sydney Opera House on November 23, are now on sale from the Idol website.

I think all four guys performed well tonight, however I don't think Wes' acoustic version of What a Wonderful World. I think Mark could go tomorrow, but I will still vote for him.

Mark, Wes and Luke are the three left.

Chris Isaak certainly sang up a storm tonight. Not only did he give a great performance, he also gave Andrew G a stern lecture on mispronunciation. Andrew G introduced Chris' new album Live in Australia but said the word "live" as in "living", while Chris corrected by saying the word as live (as in "life"). Then he got to host the last segment before the verdict too!

Chris Isaak is a funny man. I enjoyed him being on the show the most out of all the guest judges.

Tbh, even if Wes went tonight, he would still get a contract, I personally think that Wes will do better if he doesn't win Idol. So many people in the music idustry have said he would make it and that several people would love to duet with him or write with him, etc. I could see him being bigger if he doesn't win.

The idols were working at Mcdonalds Bonnyrigg (which is only 5 minutes walk from here). I would've gone but my cousins that saw them never told me until they left .

The Australian Idol 2008 Top 10 album hits the stores today. It features a song from each of the top 10 finalists, which were considered their best performance.

Now to tonight. I think Wes' rendition of Faith No More's Easy was the standout of the night (featuring two bits of harmonica), followed by his performance of Get Back. (Kyle said it was worth higher than a touchdown; to demonstrate he even threw the Sony DVD player worth $300 onto the stage and broke it!)
Tina Arena was great as a mentor.
Remember voting lines close at 7pm AEDT tomorrow AND there will not be second chance voting, as the final two will be announced at the start of the verdict show.

Luke was great tonight. As was Spano.

The best parts about Wes' performances to me, where the Harmonica and the Guitar. He didn't sound all that amazing.

I feel as though he is overrated.

For the last few weeks I thought it would be Wes and Mark. Now I think it will be Wes and Luke. Luke's song choices were perfect. Wes's version of Get Back was the best performance of the season.
