Haha, that interview made me laugh.
I would give my left leg/arm/ENTIRE BODY to live in their apartment.
And Chucks bed...
But seriously, MY GOSH!
Anyway, off gossip BOY topic...and onto gossip GIRL...I really like Blake a lot more than Leighton. Blake seems so down to earth and lovely and funny and Leighton seems so....nice, but still kind of 'look at me I'm amazing'?
Maybe thats just me.
Ok, we can get back onto gossip girl guys again
wag1000
Mar 1 2008, 09:06 PM
I prefer Leighton, dunno why. I like Blake I do, she seems down to earth and just really bubbly
she kinda reminds of Delta in some pics of hers
but I just love Leighton. They are both really sweet girls though
I'm looking forward to seeing Black in The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2 movie.
LOL omg to live in the same apartment as those boys OMGHEAVEN!
I saw pics of Ed from a day or so ago and he needs to shave.. but i'd still do him
Kind of random: But some of cast has some really uniqueish names

just like their characters haha.. Chace, Blake, Penn, Leighton.
Not me, Not I

I just prefer Blake! And yeh...they definately have unique names! Really cool names too. I think maybe I like Blake coz I always wanted to name my kid that....BAHAHAHAHA!
Argh, I would LOVE to live with Chuck....haha, he looks so cute in all his sunburnt Aussie pictures! WISH I LIVED IN SYDNEY FOR THAT!

wag1000
Mar 2 2008, 03:03 PM
Ah nah its ok, thanks anyway.

I've seen the Chuck/Blair scenes

hes so cruel

I don't think he meant what he said to Blair.
I CANNOT wait to see Blair get her revenge on everyone that crossed her, and for her to rise back ontop. She will I hope crush them all.
delta_rox_4eva
Mar 2 2008, 03:07 PM
Hahahaha, I know. I reckon she will. And it'll be exciting as helllll.
Nah, I dont think he meant what he said either. I reckon they'll get together. Anddd I really hope Dan and Serena stay together coz even though theyre slightly boring, theyre SO DAMN CUTE! Chuck and Blair are just entertaining though!
'rode hard and put away wet'
aaaahahahaha.

wag1000
Mar 2 2008, 04:30 PM
It will be

I think he only said it because of his friendship with Nate =S, I mean he really does have feelings for her otherwise what was with the thing at the dance, and her birthday? I kinda like that they aren't together, I love the angst between them. I do hope they get together again, but i'm scared if they do it won't be as good as when it was.
I don't also believe that Nate has a right to be angry at Blair and Chuck, for what they did. For one, they WERE broken up, and ummm its not like Nate is an innocent cheating on Blair with Serena in the past

hes a hiporcrit. and 2. Chuck WAS there when Blair needed someone... where was Nate? NOWHERE.
I hope Lily/Rufus get together despite what Serena said

, gosh its not like they'll get married.
I don't mind Dan/Serena but they just bore me. It would be good to see them have some sort of fight an arguement. something to create angst

angst is entertaining! heartbreaking but oh so entertaining.
my sister so reminds me of Blair

her dress for her formal is so like Blair's in Roman Holiday at the Christmas party, and her hair is similar
only hers is natural red haha and she wears headbands.. its rather scary. But omg I LOVE Blair's style

her dress is similar to this one
basically the same colour, style only slightly different.
and I want Blair's phone
or Chucks
delta_rox_4eva
Mar 2 2008, 05:31 PM
I SOOOO agree with what you said - it annoys me that Nate got so angry....one) they broke up 2) he CHEATED with Blair with HER best friend...Blair didnt even cheat!
I would LOVE it if Lily and Rufus got together....Serena annoys me with her whole thing against it. Theyre not getting married at theyre so cute together! Haha!
Thats so cool your sis reminds you of Blair

Haha! My sister reminds me..of...like...Elise...though my sis is older than me! And that dress is STUNNING - its by Tibi and its just lovely! Haha kudos to your sister!
I love Blair and Serenas style. Except they can both only be pulled of by certain people

Not me, thats for sure! Haha! How gorgeous are all Blairs headbands? I looooveee the big red bow! I have one like that for school (only its dark blue, school colours

)
Haha! GAH, and how attractive is Ed's normal (UK) accent? It makes me melt!
(Blairs phone would be cool. With Chucks/Eds number in it!)

i'd love to have her my mum

Whose Elise?

am I missing something... oh my mum also made her formal dress, and for something thats like a knockoff its pretty good. If I can i'll take some pics of it and show you.
The headbands rock! Yeah esp the big red ones

they look so awesome.
OMG HIS ACCENT YES OMG!

We had a MRS X who posted everyones secrets, but that was more bitchy and just plain nasty. Haha, oooo, I wonder who your gossip girl is!
Yep, I TOTALLY agree that N/S is much worse than B/C. Ohhhhh just looking at your sig makes me want to like..pounce on chuck

Hahahaha. LILY IS AWESOME - yeh, def like to have her as mum! How cool would it be! And I think Erics kinda cute too (despite a little sad) in a BROTHERLY way..not in an attractive way

Elise comes in in ep 13. I think it is? My sis reminds me of her character wise, not look wise

BIG RED BOWS = MADNESS. They look amazing! Haha!
Your mum must be UBER talented to make that dress! I'd love to see pics, but only if you can

Im sure it looks amazing! And much cheaper too! Haha!
Finaaaallllyyyyy....new eps in Aust? Not entirely sure..theyre in US in April-ish me thinks...I could be wrong...so here not long after as we do our catch up when they had the writers strike, so now we should be kinda...on par with them. I think. I honestly have no idea though

AND SECOND FINALLY - yes, his american accent is also amazing! He sounds so....bad boy and dirty. Hahaha. But sooo sooo sooo damn attractive.

and omgosh I just saw Ed on Select for Foxtel

I missed what they were talking about, but ahhh I LOVE HIM.. my sister was bagging me for liking him like "I don't understand how you can like him.. hes so unnatractive" and my mum was sitting behind.. so omg now she knows

but whatever
hes really only fugly when hes got a beard but hey just get him to shave it off and i'd still do him.. even with it.. hes got an accent, an accent is s$xy.. . I hope someone can record the interview and upload it for everyone. If i honestly knew how to do that I WOULD.
Does anyone want to download the song that the show ends with? I downloaded it from somewhere on lj, i'll get you guys a URL if you want it. I'm thinking about using that or the credits with Kbell saying "who am I...." as my ringtone

Heres a looooooooooooong but I think one of the best interviews yet, from Tv.com with Ed Westwick - its doesn't really contain spoilers, but it talks about what happens with Chuck in the books so yes.
Credit of course to TV.COM
The actor who plays Chuck on the CW's hit Gossip Girl chats about the British invasion of actors and what's ahead for his character.
When Gossip Girl hit the airwaves in September, there wasn't really any clear indication of where it would go. On one hand, it was a new drama about spoiled teens cavorting around New York, potentially just another slapped-together program aimed at American youth. On the other hand, it had the power and buzz of the same team that created the very popular The O.C., and seemed poised to follow in that show's footsteps.
In television terms, the show turned out to be an almost overnight success, taking just a few weeks to be granted a full-season order (the strike halted production after 13 episodes, the last of which aired this Wednesday) way back when other new shows were hanging on by a thread. In addition, Gossip Girl has done more than just bring in the teens--a soap-opera-thirsty older crowd has also become devoted watchers of the show.
A big part of the draw is the young and sexy cast, made largely of lesser-known actors that are now well known around the water coolers of America. One of the key players is 20-year-old British actor Ed Westwick, who plays the stuck-up Chuck Bass. Westwick braved the cross-Atlantic time difference to talk to TV.com about his role on the show, his sudden explosion in celebrity, and the chances of his character going bisexual.
TV.com: You are originally from England, but Gossip Girl shoots in New York City. Did you have to move from London to The Big Apple for this role?
Ed Westwick: I did indeed, yeah.
TV.com: How was it to get acclimated?
Ed Westwick: It was fun. It was kind of an adventure, in certain respects. We packed up the bags and sold my car and made my move to New York, and it's one of those places...what a place to be moving to! It's not exactly moving to a war zone. It's fantastic, it's a dream come true, and it's a lot of fun.
TV.com: Did you expect the show to be as popular as it is?
Ed Westwick: I was kind of mixed, I guess. I mean, I was always hopeful because we were kind of carrying on the buzz of the OC with the producers. So we always have that kind of hope to hang on to.
I was always kind of confident in the show itself. The pilot script was fantastic. We were all so pleased with the way the pilot came out, so we were really hopeful for it. But we're just really enjoying what's happening now. We just want to carry on with this momentum and hopefully get back to work as quickly as possible, with regard to the writers strike, and hopefully keep things going.
TV.com: Has Gossip Girl's popularity affected your social life at all?
Ed Westwick: Not really. Being back here [in London], I'm kind of still seeing my [old] friends, obviously. But out [in New York], the only kind of thing we've had is people coming up to us and saying how much they enjoy the show, which is fantastic because it means you're doing the right thing. You're doing the job well and it means you're involved in something successful, which is exciting.
So [the Gossip Girl cast] kind of all hangs around together. We're great friends now, we've formed good relationships. So with regard to having new friends anyway, that's the only new thing, really.
TV.com: Now that you are all buddies, who's your closest friend from the cast?
Ed Westwick: Well, we all get on well. I actually kind of live with Chace [Crawford, who plays Nate Archibald]. So, me and him kind of spend a lot of time together. But yeah, we all get on so well and we all kind of hang around together. So I don't have a best, best friend [from the cast].
TV.com: So along with the gossip, obviously we've seen more pictures of you and all that stuff. How are you handling that?
Ed Westwick: You know, I'm taking it in stride. It's one of those things that come with the territory. If magazines and people want to take your picture and want to take a picture of all of us and they're kind of interested in us, it means they're interested in the show. So once again, it just reinforces that view that the show is doing well, and for me, that's just completely exciting and exhilarating.
TV.com: Do you watch the show?
Ed Westwick: I do, yeah. I missed the last couple of episodes because I've been in England--it's not out here yet. I think it's coming out in February or March, something like that. But yeah, while I was in the US, I was watching it. It's always good to see how a piece of work's turned out, and I've been pleased with it.
TV.com: In the last episode, we find out that Chuck's dad has asked Serena's mom to marry him, and so Chuck seems to have a renewed interest in Serena. How do you think that'll play out?
Ed Westwick: Chuck kind of understands that she's the one that will never happen. I think it is that kind of thing. But I think he enjoys pushing it, and maybe in the back of his mind, always has the hope that it will work out some day. But I think he kind of realizes the situation there. So I wouldn't get too, too hooked onto that line of things. But you never know with Gossip Girl... You never know which way it's going to go.
TV.com: It sounds like it's kind of a game for him.
Ed Westwick: I think it is a game. I think he enjoys manipulating the characters and his friends and things. So it's definitely a game, as I think he sees a lot of life. As you know, he's the guy with the keys to the city. So he pretty much does what he pleases.
TV.com: Do you think it's the same with Blair?
Ed Westwick: Blair is a much different situation, because I think we're kind of seeing the time and the effort that he has invested in her. Whether or not it's love or just an infatuation, I think that's all still out there. In "Seventeen Candles," the birthday episode, he takes the time to get her the present, to get her the necklace. That's obviously a sign of his feelings for her.
But it's just one of those things with him. He can be hot and cold; he's interested one day, then bored the next. So it's definitely one of those things that you just don't know. But that's the beauty of the character and the beauty of the story. That it's always going to keep you on your toes and you never know what's going to come.
TV.com: Who do you think is going to win the big love competition for Blaire, Nate or Chuck?
Ed Westwick: Oh, I think that Blair recognizes that Chuck is trouble and I think she's got her heart set on the golden boy, Nate. So if I had to bet on it, I'd go with Nate. But that's not insider information, because I truly don't know what's going to happen.
TV.com: If Rufus, Dan's dad, threatens the marriage between your dad, do you think there's going to be more conflict with you and Dan? Do you see that happening?
Ed Westwick: I don't know, maybe not. Going back to the whole Serena thing, that kind of opens up the doors in that respect, you know. Because I don't think Chuck would be in for the whole kind of sister-brother relationship thing. Maybe he would, who knows where the young devil will go?
But no, I don't know if that would cause any more heat in that respect. It might maybe cause some heat between Dan and Rufus. Because obviously, Serena and Dan have their relationship, and if Lily and Rufus get together, it creates an interesting angle. So I don't know. But definitely it's going to cause something.
TV.com: Right, so in reality, can you relate to your character at all? Did you grow up rich like the Gossip Girl kids?
Ed Westwick: No, it's an alien world for me. It adds to the whole fantasy element, which makes it so much more exciting for me to play. It's something that I haven't been part of. So therefore, I get to dabble in it and get to see what happens. So it's exciting in that respect.
Of course, I can relate to Chuck in the respect of [his actions], we've all been the bad boy once or twice in our life and maybe have been arrogant when we shouldn't have been, maybe done some wrong things. But he's just a young guy still trying to work himself out, I think. Even though he puts on this kind of strong front, I think it's only skin thick.
TV.com: If Gossip Girl gets picked up for a second season, where would you like your character to go?
Ed Westwick: Right now that seems so far away. And as we say, with every episode so much drama happens and so much unfolds that it would really be impossible for me to scope down the line and say, I want him to be here and there. I have a lot of faith in the writers and the ideas that everyone's kind of having.
So wherever he does go, I'm sure it will be an incredibly exciting place for me to take him to. I'm just kind of putting my faith in the others, and we'll see what happens. What will be, will be.
TV.com: We're seeing a huge influx of actors from England, Australia, and New Zealand coming to America and playing American roles. Why do you think that is?
Ed Westwick: I heard an interesting quote a couple of months ago by another British actor, a guy I know, Julian Ovenden [Cashmere Mafia]. He said, "American TV has more ambition, it's very ambitious." Which I completely agree with--there's a wider variety and I think that's very attractive for not just British and Australian actors, but actors from all around the world. It's a huge market and there are lots of things to be part of. So I think that's definitely a main reason.
There's just a lot of exciting work in America. I feel that's definitely the key reason and it's especially good for me, kind of. I've enjoyed coming to America--not just for the work side of things--and embracing the American culture. And living in America has just been a lot of fun for me. So it's been an adventure, and I'm sure that's hugely attractive to a lot of actors as well.
TV.com: Do you have any insight as to why so many British actors are getting lead roles in American television?
Ed Westwick: You know what? I don't know. I really don't know. Maybe certain people kind of just admire British actors or a foreign actor more. I couldn't give you a reason why. It would probably come down to the individual casting director. There's definitely a lot of talent in America. America's got a fantastic pool of talent to choose from. So there's definitely no lack there.
It's just a testimony to the foreign actors, or what they're bringing to the table. It's one of those things that is hard to put a finger on right now. For some reason, it's happening and I'm definitely enjoying it, having been given these opportunities.
TV.com: In the book the show is based on, Chuck's character becomes bisexual. Do you think that the television version of Chuck will, let's say, be exploring other opportunities?
Ed Westwick: I honestly don't know. With the TV show, we're doing our own thing, but we're kind of loosely basing our stuff on the books. So it's possible. But I have no idea whether or not it will materialize.
It would be an interesting angle, but I think it would rely on what else is happening within the story with regard to all the other characters and things like that.
TV.com: If it does end up happening, how would you feel about playing that change in your character?
Ed Westwick: I don't know right now. If it's something that is good for my character and good for the story, then why not? If it's something worthy and it's something fantastic, then why not? I'd never say no--you can't close doors on anything really. You have to be open to anything. So yeah, why not?
TV.com: Thank you for taking the time to talk to us, Ed.
Ed Westwick: My pleasure.

Definatley agree with about Ed, he really does know his character and its nice to see him talk indepth about his chracter and the relationships with otehr characters

YES WE SHOULD!
All my friends wanna move there LOL I say we all go HOW FUN
Nate/Chace is kinda like Zac Effron well he sorta looks like him to me, and I do not like Zeffron

. nate is also the "good boy" and so his character is rather dull. but Chuck however

hes so much more complex! and he has that bad boy charm as I have said earlier in this thread somewhere

really? that would be awesome, I hope one of your friends can do it. I'm going to do a transcript just for those who can't see it.

PR Machine Moves to Quickly to Explain Chace Crawford and JC Chasez’s “Friendship”
It's because they're hunting girls, not boy scouting
Evelyn Karamanos moves quick. The WKT publicist, who also reps Christian Slater and Eliza Dushku, didn’t like seeing all those rumors circulating yesterday of client Chace Crawford gaying it up with JC Chasez, even moving in with him.
So, we’re guessing, she quickly had this item dispatched to Page Six. Chace and JC spending so much time together isn’t because they’re lovers, but because they’re the new pussy posse!
“The Gossip Girl hunk was ’surrounded by women’ at Tao Friday night, and they were ‘dancing wildly and pawing on each other’ and drinking Cristal and shots of Patron with former boybander JC Chasez.”
Well played.
has anyone else heard the rumours about Chance and JC dating?

that statement just makes them sound like they are a couple, by the use of words "pawing, surrounded by women.. etc"

Gossip Girl's Ed Westwick: Single and Ready to Mingle!
March 05, 2008
Like the Jody Watley song, Ed Westwick is 'looking for a new love, baby'.
"I'm very single," the Gossip Girl star, 20, admitted at the John Adams premiere held at MOMA in NYC on March 3.
When OK! caught up with Ed back in October, he was deeply involved in a relationship with Louise ., who hailed from his hometown of Stevenage, England. He bragged about making her a full English breakfast complete with bacon, eggs, sausage and baked beans.
But now that his situaton has changed, what does this dashing Brit look for in a woman?
"Good sense of style and confidence," he tells OK!. As for him, potential love interests should know he can't get enough of the board game Monopoly, and doesn't dig McDonald's.
"That food is so bad at McDonald's," Ed says. "It's really not that great."
So what else can his dates expect? "I'm a lounge guy. I love playing pool. I love finding someplace where it's quiet enough that you can control the jukebox and get on with your life."
Ed also loves to hang with his Gossip Girl castmates Chace Crawford and Penn Badgely, but he stays away from alcohol-- "I'm underage man!"
Because his character is a villain on the show, Ed says some people are wary of him. How does he prove them wrong? "I take everybody I meet out to dinner," he jokes.
