Are the books anything like the TV show?

Well I bought the first 2 books yesterday and have only read 10pages but so far they are.. but the tv show just changes it around a little bit with everything.

im around abut half way through the second book
and it is sort of but it isn't i actually find the tv show much better than the books..
its just better lol

I got my books from Angus and Robertson.. though you should be able to find them in any good bookstore. Borders should have them. They are about $18 each

There'll be a new ep next week. They had repeats on New Years Day 'cause it's a pretty good performer on pay TV and since less people will watch TV on New Year's Day they didn't wanna waste the episode. So episode 4 "Bad Luck Blair" will be on this Tuesday on Fox 8

the season just gets better and better! i didnt think they were going to use vanessas character in the show, if i remeber right wasnt she suposed to be a bit unatractive in the book or am i wrong?

We're 8eps behind which i think is relatively good.. besides THE WRITERS STRIKE means theres going to be fewer eps to show if they go back late Jan early feb or something like that. So we will be able to catch up quite fast.

Does anyone know if the writer strike is affecting GG?
Because they have a lot of episodes, compared to other shows which have 9 - 11 eps as the last one.

The writer's strike means they filmed 13 or 14 episodes by the time the strike began, so they have a couple more to show in the US. But they got a full season order of 22 episodes so when the strike finishes they can go back to making this brilliant show

Damn the writers strike (I do support them but ugh so frustrating!).. by the time the writers strike ends there won't be enough time to make it a full 22 eps for the season.. so would that make the season broken up into 2? or just roll over the eps for season 1, and the ones that didn't make season 1 go over into 2?
I hope that makes sense

Serena reminded me so much of Delta the way her hair was styled and the dress she wore, was similar to the pic in the Limited Edition "Delta".
