Catherine Heigel really deserved her win. She's so talented.

But how does Brothers & Sisters win an award when they have been axed? LOL. It's amusing that a show that got axed in America won an Emmy... going to show that it shouldn't have been axed. o_o haha.

But it doesn't look like Heroes won anything.. *is sad*
Syra
No House? sad.gif

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't someone say that Delta was featured in this Tony benett thing?

a ) It's Katherine Heigl whistling.gif
b ) Brothers & Sisters is not axed. It's been renewed for a full season and stays in the same timeslot as last season (Sundays, 10/9c) in the US. Plus the Sopranos is finished and they won some Emmys including best drama. Plus it wasn't really B&S that won an award it was Sally Field whistling.gif unless you mean the littler categories.

Delta sang "Stepping Out With My Baby" on his duets CD but Christina Aguilera was always asked to do the performance. So someone must have gotten confused, heard the song title and assumed Delta was performing. Unfortunately she's not well known enough in the US for an Emmys performance yet whistling.gif

i'm glad Katherine (Heigl) and the sopranos won... cool.

Thanks for posting smile.gif
katherine heigl winning is cool biggrin.gif

BTW those people mentioning House or Heroes... both were considered a long shot for drama, because of the popularity of the Sopranos and Grey's Anatomy. And House didn't have many other nominations apart from Hugh Laurie who was a fave to win. Heroes, while getting 7/8 noms, is only a new show and critics believe it to be very uneven in execution (which I agree with). They're only other major nomination was for Masi Oka (best supporting actor in a drama) which went to Terry O'Quinn from Lost (much deserved)!

For those who didn't see the opening with Stewie and Brian from Family Guy singing a Broadway-style ode to the trash of TV here's the transcript. Some of it I'm sure is wrong but I did the best I could it's hard to hear some of the words LOL!

(Spoken)

Stewie: You know, Brian, we are privileged to live in this particular age of television programming.
Brian: Really? Seems to me that nearly all television these days is complete trash.
Stewie: Yes quite right. But never before in history have we had such a wide selection of trash.
Brian: Yeah I guess you're right
Stewie: Of course I'm right. For example...

(Sung)

Stewie: You've got mega hits like Idol where Sanjaya took his bow
Brian: Just a little boy from India who made us all say "wow"
Stewie: With a voice that makes you want to just go out and kill a cow
Stewie & Brian: It's the plain situation, a simple declaration: if you want it, you can find it on TV!

Brian: You've got "Scrubs" on NBC in Season 7 and a half
With the antics of the talented and lovable Zach Braff
Stewie: Who reminds us that a sitcom doesn't have to make you laugh
Stewie & Brian: You can try to deny it, but we can certify it. If you want it, you can find it on TV!

Brian: And if you start to crave a brand new TV thrill
They're always brewing up some brand new primetime stew (?)
Stewie (spoken): Like the guys from Cavemen

Brian: CBS was once a network that was reverant and clean
But today they've got some shows that are remarkably obscene
Stewie: Like the show about a little boy who lives with Charlie Sheen
Stewie & Brian: Oh there ain't nothing to it, you can go out and do it. If you want it, you can find it on TV!

(Spoken)

Brian: You know I think I'm getting the idea Stewie
Stewie: Ahh! You see
Brian: Absolutely. How about this...

(Sung)

Brian: ABC has got a line-up that's refreshing and alive
With its hits like Desperate Housewives just continuing to thrive
Stewie: And those women look sensational for being 65
Stewie & Brian: No we won't always tell ya. We really wanna tell ya. If you want it, you can find it on TV!

Brian: Now the Pea-'s having trouble simply staying in the race
So I hear they're bring Seinfeld back to save a little face
Stewie: And I hear Isaiah Washington is taking Kramer's place?!
Stewie & Brian: Oh you may want a donut, but boy you can't ignore it. If you want it, you can find it on TV!

Brian: Now The Sopranos is a show I'd recommend
Stewie: Because you never know just how it's gonna --
(cut to black screen)

Brian: So to sum up the philosophy on which we're both agreed
All the garbage on the airwaves is a final thing indeed
Stewie: 'Cause without it then Americans would have to learn to read
Stewie & Brian: And so on with the curtain! It's absolutely certain. If you want it, you can find it on TV!
