Umm to friend me back just go to my profile and click "add as friend" or something scroll over those pics above my profile thing..

and to change your layout go to customize journal and you can choose from there. Or there are some LJ comms which you can get layouts from (as I did) but im not sure if they work in non-paid LJ's. its worth a shot though try
