Hi everyone,
You may or may not have heard of a new movie called The Jammed. It's an Australian feature film that has not long been released. When it first came out it was knocked back by a lot of major companies, who didn't think a movie about human trafficking would sell. After one independent screening, there was so much demand that sessions in Melbourne were totally selling out, making it the highest selling independent movie in the first week. It is also now the 4th highest Australian made film behind Crocodile Dundee.
I saw this movie the other night, admittedly only because of Saskia's role in it. However, it was brilliant. Not only Saskia, but the entire cast is amazing. Relatively unknown, but fantastic actors.
Please go and see this movie if you can. It does have an MA15+ rating though, as it has some strong themes etc in it.

You can see posts from Saskia on here.

The Jammed stars Veronica Sywak, Emma Lung, Sun Park and Saskia Burmeister.

It was on the show "At the Movies" and both reviewers gave it a 4 star rating. As well as a 4.5 star rating and "Welcome to the best Australian film of the year" from The Age.

The DVD will be released later in the year. It was meant to come out in August but because of the huge success of the film, this has now been put back.

Admittly i wanted to see this cos of Saskia Burmeister and i have to say she really is versatile and i thought the other cast members-Emma Lung, Veronica Sywalk and Sun Park- were great.
It was great to see Melbourne on the big screen and now since seeing this film i've now seen my city in a new light.
