For Film + TV this term we have to compare Psycho, Friday the 13th Part 2 and Scream and how women are represented in them and how that has changed as time goes on.
I'm having a bit of trouble though because I didn't get to see the first half of Psycho, so I dont really know much about Marion Crane, and I can't really remember much of Scream.
We're supposed to talk about the horror ideology of the 'Christian Ideal', and how if you have - before marriage, smoke, drink and so on, you will die. And we have to talk about how as time goes on, it's more acceptable for women to do this, and how in the 60's when Pyscho was made, men could do this but not women.
If anyone could give me some help on how Marion, Ginny and Sidney were represented in these movies it would be greatly appreciated.
Also, does anyone know is Sidney was a virgin in scream. I totally cannot remember that movie ARGH!!
