I just started having the show available on BBC-America and I've got a ton of questions. First, let me tell you what I know and we'll go from there. I picked up the story in the episode where one of the friends in the flat got alcohol poisioning and have seen through the episode where Sam bursts into the bar with what I am assuming is a flamethrower.

I know that Sam and another guy drugged Mel and Sophie and raped them. I know that Sam got sentenced to life. I know that Sam escaped and returns to Hollyoaks.

I know who Sam's brother is (Russ or Ross?? bigger guy, dark hair shaved, Sophie's new "boyfriend" but only because he feels sorry for her)

I know who Mercedes is

That part of the storyline I have figured out pretty much.

Now for the questions

1) Is the guy (Character name: Darren or Darryl?? Actor's first name: Ashley) the same guy who was the hit and run driver of Sonny's, Sasha's, and whoever's (please insert character name here) mother?

2) Please insert a character name here (brother of the hit and run driver who Sonny keeps taking his anger/grief out on)

3) Can someone please give me the "low down" (sorry for the American slang) on the five friends in the flat other than the fact John?? and Zoe' are ex-s, he broke her heart by calling her fat and dumping her, and Jessica?? is a bit bossy and doesn't like it when she doesn't get her way.

4) Please insert a character name here of the friend who finally talks back to Jessica

5) Please insert a character name here of the friend who got alcohol poisioning

6) Can someone please give me the low down on the bar owner and her husband who were investigated for alcohol posioning or bad/illegal vodka. I think her name is Claire or Clara but I've got no idea who her husband or business partner is.

7) Can someone please give me the low down on the deal with Sophie, Mel, the other guy (please insert a character name here, all I can tell you is the actor has a baby face and he's about the same age as Mel and Sophie) and the DVD. Either Mel or Sophie walks into the same bar that Sam bursts into with the flamethrower, has a bit of a heated conversation with Clara, and a DVD appears. I think it has on it Clara's adultery.




I'm sure I'll have a ton more questions and before anyone tells me to "Yes, I have logged onto Channel 4's site." I tried to get the back story and who each character was but by the time I got through about a quarter of the character bios my brain couldn't remember what I read the character before the one I was on.

The Character is called Darren and no he is not the hit and run driver who killed Sonny, Sasha and Calvin's mother. Jake Dean who is Darren's step brother was the driver of the car involved in the accident.

The character you are thinking of is called Craig Dean.

The character you are thinking of is called Joe not John. The five students I think you are referring to are Joe, Zoe, Jessica, Olivia and Jez or it could be Zak (it's a long time since these episodes were aired in the UK). Olivia is Jessica's best friend and is always dominated by Jessica and lets her walk all over her. I think the fifth student is either Jez or Zak. Jez comes from a middle class, wealthy background and as a result found it hard to settle in with his college friends and housemates. Zak is a liverpudlian is obsessed with football.

The friend you are referring to is Olivia, Jessica's best friend.

The character you are referring to is called Claire Cunningham and her husband is called Max Cunningham. I don't want to go into too much detail as it may spoil the show for you, but Claire isn't with Max for love. All she wants is his businesses and money and will do anything to get what she wants.

The character you are referring to is OB (Sam O'Brien). O.B once had a relationship with Mel and is still very much in love with her at that point in the show. The DVD you are referring to is a CCTV tape of Claire committing adultery with Warren Fox (?) who Claire and Max employ.

Thanks, I will more than likely need to ask more questions. I'm sorry, ensemble casts are not new to American audiences but not 20 - 25 people. American shows usually have 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 at most main characters.
