Though it makes him uncomfortable, Dean's natural instincts with children helps him get to know the boy, and watch with pride as Ben stands up to a bully. Creator Eric Kripke promises even more excitement this fall. "We're aiming really hard for an especially action-packed, thrill-ride season, because it's time to choose a side and take up arms and band together and fight war," he says. And what of Dean, who has only one year to live? "{He's} already inclined to be a hedonist." Perhaps that explains the addition of two new female characters, of whom Kripke will only say, "they're superbadass!
