Episode 1 was watched by 777,000 oeople in five capital cities (Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth). It attracted an audience share of 31.6% in 18-49 demographics (522,309 people) which was second in the timeslot and 36.3% in 16-39 winning the timeslot. It blitzed the 16-24 demo with 50.1%.
Episode 2 was watched by 708,000 people and did 36.0% share in 18-49 demographics (508,030 people) winning the timeslot and 41.3% in 16-39 also winning the timeslot. 16-24 was 49.9%.
Both episodes came third in the timeslot behind Seven and Nine.

I have to say they have obviously being close attention to what the fans want this season (so far and fingers crossed for all the episodes) because each episode has been a real treat.

Kripke is EXCELLENT in giving in what the fans want, but also drawing a line so its not like 100% fans etc. Kripke is genius! hes probably the best creator of a show that i've ever watched.

Yeah I dont like the new actress, what makes me more upset, is how come shes appearing in so many episodes in a row, it sucks, I guess they want to get people to get into the new actress playing Ruby, well after 3 episodes, shes hasn't made me interested, I miss Katie. This new one, just kinda plays her differently, and no offence to her.

Really not impressed with yesterdays episode.

It wasn't as good as the the previous ones. But it did have some great moments

I thought it was really short on great moments and they handled some of the big moments very badly.

That said after the first three being so good there is bound to be some filler episodes.

It wasn't a filler episode though.. it was really all about Sam.

Some parts I was reminded of s2.. did anyone else get that? Umm I forget the ep but the ep after Croatoan Hunted!!! thats it Hunted.

and when Dean punched Sam, yeah reminded me ALOT of season 2.

I loved that boys finally have no secrets with each other and that everything is out in the open.

I thought it was filler even though it was all about Sam.

The way they handled outing the Sam's secret and Ruby was lame.

Hopefully next episode will be better.

I think the next one is the one with the *** ***** ****.

Should be interesting and should give us a bit more of the old Sam and Dean humour. I want more Sam and Dean brother moments. They are hillarious when they bicker!

I know what you mean about having a bit of a season two feel to it.

Idk I didn't consider it a filler, it didn't feel that way to me. Even though we were dealing with a MOTW and the focus was on that.. but reading between the lines it was ALL about Sam and his inner "demon" etc, and his decisions. It doesn't mean hes going to to go all evil, and esp how Travis saw Jack.. its the way any other hunter would see Sam. There wouldn't be any grey areas.. like Gordon/that other dude.
My reasons for it not being a filler, I could be wrong though.

Well I think it opened like that because last weeks was a "to be continued" and yeah Dean went to find Sam and alas thats how he found out.

wow wow wow at last night's episode. Craaaazyyyyy.

I get what you see in the episode and I see those points too but the way they handled it didn't work for me.

It was too obvious for my liking.

The creature feature of the week was lame and although it tied in again it was too obvious and also even though it was following from the to be continued it felt to me rushed in terms of the episode. I would have liked them to have built that storyline up some more and had full focus on the brothers when it all came tumbling out.

That is why it's filler for me. They weren't telling us anything we didn't know with Sam and Dean and the other storyline was weak to me despite how it tied in.

There will be eps we all don't like though and we'll all see different things in those eps.

Hopefully next ep we will get the hot angel back and there will be some light Sam and Dean moments.

I agree it felt rushed, I would have liked to have seen some of these story lines go on for a bit longer.. I think that has to do with last season though. How we got cut short because of the writers strike, and so they are wasting no time and just getting smack bang into it.

Ah ok! I see where you're coming from I'll have to re-watch the ep and just re-think with the issues etc they've been dealing with etc.

True, theres always bound to be fillers, as all shows theres normally about 8-9 episodes of actually storylines and arcs and the rest remains filler for the character developement. I know alot of fans complain with fillers, but personally I have no issues with them.

True, besides Dean got alot of screentime in the previous episode, so yeah this week its Sam. I didn't think it was that bad.

I'm gonna rewatch it tonight. I liked the episode.

Maybe it is due to the strike last season. I kind of assumed they abandoned the storylines they couldn't fit in but maybe they are doing them this season and that is why it is a little rushed in places. I hope that's not the case.

I like a good discussion too. As long as it's not nasty and everyone respects each others opinions it's always fun plus sometimes people pick up on things you didn't so you learn new things.



I don't mind fillers. They are still fun episodes. I just didn't like this one. I'm not keen on ick factor ones. Like the skins one. I didn't like that but it did set up the Dean storyline with the cops so it had one good part but I still hated it.

No ickyness please and when do we get some topless boy shots?!




Are the rating bad over there?

I imagine everyone is downloading or watching them online.

By the time we get season 4 (January can you believe?! ) the ratings will be really bad for that reason.

It's in the next few episodes we get the 7ft teddy bear... Apparently it makes sense in the context of the episode. I'm hoping for some humour!

The ratings arent THAT bad here.. 700k per ep, thats quite ok. its been up to like past 1mill which is EXCELLENT.

They aren't bad ratings at all.

I LOVE eps with flashbacks.. going back in time. I hope we get some more eps hopefully with the young winchesters..ahh they are too cute.

Okay Yeah sometimes they can be bad, but all shows are bound to have one bad episode in it.

Those are still good figures for a 9:30pm timeslot. Its still going strong. Unlike some shows that are doing like 600 or under.

We are getting an episode of Supernatural showing the boys as teenagers apparently.

Should be really good and interesting to see how they handle it and if the boys will play themselves or they will get younger actors in. I really hope we get the boys as themselves.

My opinion is different i liked it, most shows do B&W eps so it was good to see SN do one.
