17 year-old Jordin Sparks gestures after winning at the finale of the television reality series "American Idol" in Hollywood, California May 23, 2007

Jordin Sparks crowned `American Idol' 2007
LOS ANGELES - Jordin Sparks grew up on "American Idol," watching the show since she was 12 years old and telling her mother it was what she wanted to do."Now I'm actually doing it," the 17-year-old told reporters backstage after winning the competition in Wednesday's season finale. The announcement that the Arizona teenager bested Blake Lewis, 25, the beat-boxer from Washington, came at the end of a two-hour extravaganza at the Kodak Theatre."I've just been trying to top myself each week," Sparks told The Associated Press. "I would sing my song and after I was done I was like, `OK, what am I going to do next week that's going to be ... either just as good or better." Viewers cast more than 74 million votes in making Sparks the winner

Jordin was my pic to win after the favourite (Melinda) got the boot in the Final 3.

YAH! So glad she won! I hope she's gonna be promoted in the UK as they've shown American Idol at a mainstream time. People in the UK actually know what Amercian Idol is about. OK it doesn't get the audiences of X Factor, but i think its done well enough for them to think about releasing Jordin over here

YOU SUCK! and yes I do mean you topic creator, some people [like me] haven't had the final air here yet so thanks for letting me know who wins. EVERY YEAR THIS HAPPENS dry.gif it's not entirely your fault since I did see it on IMDb first dry.gif but either way next time please be more considerate, there are people here who enjoy watching the show and don't want to be told who has won.

Think before you act next time. Thanks. smile.gif

People shouldn't have to do that. In other countries they might not get it for ages... they can't just stay off a forum for the slight possibility that someone has posted a spoiler on American Idol or another show. I think though the forum maker wouldn't have known where it was upto in NZ so I think the NZ fan (sorry forget their username) should just accept the forum maker didn't realise but I can understand how annoying it is when people post spoilers. Maybe people should just make topics saying "The winner of American Idol is... *spoilers inside*". We have to be considerate in case people don't know whistling.gif

Oh that's just stupid. Fact is, the topic maker shouldn't have posted the winner in the title.
