Channel 10 have been recently advertising that there will be a new show/suprise comming 6.30 weeknights. This is the Neighbours timeslot. Anyone know what is happening?

I haven't seen this ad before....

But it doesn't necessarily mean that it will take the 6.30 timeslot. It could just be a 2 minute show or something...like they did a couple of years ago during summer.

Well neighbours isnt cancelled or nuffin so must be some mistake...... i havent seen an add about it either!

if its at 6:30 it would only be like a 5 minute segment thing like they used to do with some other random show.. or maybe they meant am? .. but i dunno why they'd be advertising something like that for a 6:30am timeslot *shrugs*

Yeah, I think AngelButterfly is right- it could be for 6:30 AM.

For all we know, it could be that- or a quick little 5 min thing that will slot in between Simpsons & Neighbours.

OR:
Maybe Ten's axing the Simpsons from 6pm, bumping Neghbours up there, & thus creating a free spot in 6:30.......

And the ad that this thread is about also annoys me- just the thought of Ch 10 bringing something in at the timeslot my fav early evening show has makes me angry.

Captain Jack Harkness - that'll be Torchwood. It's a Doctor Who spinoff show. Which I really want to watch, but haven't got around to yet and the DVDs are so expensive .

i saw the adds for this thing again, and it's not mentioning any times.. i've seen like 3 different adds for it numerous times and none of them ever mentioned a time that it will be on.. so hopefully it'll be put on after neighbours or whatever.. maybe they're canning big brother (one can only hope..)

Oh yeah, I've been meaning to post this in the Neighbours thread for ages! It'll be so bad if Neighbours is moved any earlier. Like the ratings are picking up I think as well! But maybe Neighbours would do better if it's not put up against Today Tonight and A Current Affair which, as stupid as they are, rate very well.

Maybe the ads are not meaning a new show in the 6:30 time slot.

The ads don't actually have '6:30' in it- they have it written as '630'.

I had a huntch that Captain Harkness would be a British show. The title doesn't seem like an American show imo.

I think with the whole '6.30/630' thing, I think its just a title of a show. No way are Channel Ten moving the 6.30 timeslot for Neighbours, I cannot imagine that happening.

The ABC, which has the rights to Dr Who, probably made the right decision not to bid for Torchwood.

Neighbours is currently shown in Southern Cross Darwin and Tasmania at 5pm, and regional WA at 4.30pm. Do you want the rest of the country to follow suit to show Neighbours BEFORE 6pm?

I think the change will happen on June 21, as the counter changes over from 621 to 630, and I think 621 means June 21.
