well there may be a reason as to why Neighbours has lost ratings, apparently, the ratings of today tonight have shot up by heaps in the past few months in the male 18-24 age group, and I don't really need to spell out what that would happen *cough* Anna Coren *cough*

No I think they were saying the bone marrow transplant or what ever it was was successful. She still probably has to recover.

Well if you actually listened the doctor said that they still need to run heaps of tests, but initial tests suggest that Kerry's body hasn't rejected the marrow. Then everyone got so worked up as if she was cured, when she probably isnt even. I'd say some complications occur, and now stingray's dead so he can't save her again???
Anyway, they never said anything about the cancer being cured, just that the
operation looked like a success.

More like last 10 seconds..... Stingray definitely didn't get the best death in the history of Neighbours lol...i'd feel ripped off!!!

Mar 24 2007, 01:44 PM
They seriously could have done better with his death- even his almost-death in the operation was better than his actual one.
Did anyone go WTF?

at the title of Friday, "Cop Ya"?
At first I thought it was weird- but they always have reasons for naming them, normally it has something to do with the story in the episode.
It only came clear to me (well, really obvious) at the very end of the episode- with Stingray saying it at the end of his vid.
Talking about the vid- I thought that was a really effective thing. It gave us his opinion on each of his family members- and Sky.
It was also the one thing that got me started on crying my eyes out.
And my sister was at her work- & asked me to tape it.
'Twas going to watch it with her- but since it made me cry for 90% of it, I don't know whether I really want to again.
And just to finish it off, I'd like to share my opinion on Thursday's ending:
1. I thought the crane shot was great- made me think (& I may be reading into a little too much) as if it was Stingray's spirit going up, & watching them.....
2. What they should have done- is, just before the crane shot, the camera should have gone to his point of view. Then had everything go blurry- signifying his passing. Then a black screen, followed by a front-on shot of his face (with eyes closed), then as it goes up in the crane shot, turns around to see the others....and what they had- Bree & Janae come over to him, ect.
I think it would have worked better like that- would have made it more dramatic.
They seriously should have had it a little earlier- making it longer. They left it to the very last second- I know it was to have it hang over till Friday's, but it took away so much of the potential it had to be a great (& sad) death.

Mar 24 2007, 02:01 PM
yeah i really liked the way it ended, but they should've put more emphasis on his dying. I mean, because most people knew he was going to die we could tell exactly what was happening, but if someone had no idea at all, they would've thought "wtf is happening here!?"

Mar 25 2007, 10:19 AM
But I think the reason they made the actual death scene so non-death like was because Stingray leaving and dying is such a shock and 180 flip thing to happen. I thought the death was well done because everyone joking and having fun at the party, going on with their lives is totally how Stingray's life was to everyone.

There was heaps of crying. Rachel, Janae, Sky, Jenelle I think. Probably some others that I forgot about. And the video by Stingray to Kerry that they showed was really good how they broke it up in between the reactions of different characters. And then it was only in the middle of the episode how they showed how the video was found. Like it was great how the episode wasn't shown in chronological order when every other Neighbours episode has been.
