^^^Paulini wasn't Kate's runner up ... Emily Williams was haha .. but yeah still Kate was more successful ...
But yeah, personally I'm really over it! Really enjoyed the first one, second wasn't too bad, but hardly watched the third!

I'll prob watch Top 12 though ... (if Where Are They Now isn't on!

I love Aus Idol. At least they get something out of it, rather then Big Brother and some of the other reality tv shows where they win and you never hear of them again, except for some of them such as Blair Mcdonough and Dan O'Conner.

It is getting a little old but I still like it. Pity that the winner and runner up, let alone the other finalists don't really make it in the pop industry, for long at least.

no, Idol is really good. It gives people who have talent a chance to get out there and share their music with the world
I love music, I love Idol
I just hope they allow a wider range of music this year, I want to hear some C&W
Kind Regards,

I think that they should have some respect for the auditionees though.

Only person who has truly done something with Idol is Kelly; "what about Shannon Noll you may say" - he's had a bit of success in Australia, he hasn't gone international. A couple of measley hits in Australia means nothing and most of the time record companies won't even keep you because you can't generate sufficent profits from one 19million people population country.
And Idol is the chicken route - I don't even respect Kelly for taking that route; if singing means that much to you and you're SO talented - do it the hard way like everybody else.

I like the fact Idol is going to new places like Alice Springs and other country towns so we can unearth new talent. if were to have Idol # 5 i think Idol should go to other new country towns like Traralgon, Sale, Ballarat of Victoria and likewise towns in other states.

Y.E.S
after 3 seasons we haven't achieved any MAJOR successes. yes, shannon noll is pretty good and anthony could do opera with those pipes, and axel has a great career on video, but ultimately, what does the winner achieve? a spot on "it takes two," appearances at local functions and a cancelled contract? not very starlicious.
so yes, australian idol is a failed concept which has hindered the careers of its winner rather than started them. you've got better chance if you actually lose.

Hmm, i like Idol it's gives singers the chance to have a career in singing and other fields of work. And, you have to admit most of the singers from Idol who have got record contracts are talented (except Casey and Lee)
