As Ryan drives, with Marissa in the passenger seat, Volchok rams his car from behind. He then pulls alongside and tries to run Ryan off the road. And he succeeds. Ryan barrels through a curve and over an embankment. The car rolls end over end down the hill, finally crashing on another road below. Coming back to his senses, Ryan crawls out of the car. Noticing gas pouring from the tank and a small fire, he grabs an unconscious Marissa and carries her free of the wreckage in a mirror from the time he found her in Tijuana. The car explodes and Ryan lays Marissa down on the pavement. He tells her he’s going to get help, but she begs him to stay. And then she dies.



Mischa Barton, who play's Marissa Cooper, is quoted as saying:

"Well, I was really excited that I get to die, to be honest, I've done pretty much everything else with the character. It was better than one of those lame farewells."

When she was asked "Will you ever return to "The O.C." in a dream sequence?" she answered "Oh, God. I hope not. That would be cheesy."

I reackon the finale is so bad. The OCs getting worse. I hope it's going to improve.

i like the OC but i think marrissa is getting annoying.. shes always upset and troubled lol. I prefer the funnier characters like Summer & Seth.

Hes marissas Bf for a while and he had a fight with ryan a while back

I was never a fan of Marissa she always played the poor little rich girl, argh it was so annoying!!

I dont think that the show wont survive without her

Marissa's story is pointless, boring and continuously goes in circles, I've been waiting for them to finish her off for 3 years now. All i can say is, not a minute too soon

Her constant and annoying cries for attention make me wanna hang myself. And the poor little rich girl; thing is the biggest clique in the book. Good riddence to bad rubbish i say

On the add for next week, theyre like, Marissa is going out of control, with a bad boy, doing drugs etc
LIke hello, shes done drugs, overdosed, almost died haha. Its not that exciting shes doing it again

but this time shes actually taking i dunno "proper" drugs and before she just took a whole bunch of pain killers. but yeah I just want to see her die
