this year's academy awards celebration comes closer and closer!

i think this year the nominations are really interesting, because there's no nomination for a
blockbuster-movie in the main-categorys...ok, brokeback mountain becamed a suprising success, but
the story is not really mainstream...
I'm strained...

has someone here seen "sophie scholl - the final days" already?

as the film startet in our cinemas one year ago i wanted to see it, but my friends were not interested in sad.gif(
so i bought the dvd last summer...i think it's a great movie...julia jentsch is a fantastic actress..
it brought me so much joy as i heard that the movie is nominated for "best foreign language movie"

I've seen one of the movies nominated, Munich and it could possibly win.

um, yeah, the Oscars.

Hope someone falls over their dress, that's always funny.

My fave bit is where they show a film clip of all the people who have died sonce the last Oscars. I feel sorry for the people who don't get huge applause sad.gif

brokeback mountain wasnt a surprising success

I've just seen Brokeback Mountain and I'm still torn between it and Munich.

brokeback mountain wasnt a surprising success

I heard it on the radio and I read it on different pages that nobody thought a story about 2 cowboys who
are gay could have this surprising / huge success!!
Angel Heart
If no one made a fuss about it or banned it, no one would see it. Banning a movie makes for great publicity.
