I don't know anything about Johnny Cash but I saw this movie with some friends and decided to make the best of a bad situation and make fun of it.

I didn't need to, I actually really enjoyed it! Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon really brought the characters to life, learned to sing and also learned the instruments. It all led to a feeling of being genuine, although those familiar with the original Johnny Cash songs may have been a little upset that the songs weren't dubbed.

Johnny's life was actually rather interesting and I was kept watching til the very end. Don't give up on the movie just because it's based on some dead guy you've never heard of.

I loved Walk The Line I saw it last week. Like you I also didn't know much about Johnny Cash barely anything. I really loved the movie, Reese and Joaquin were amazing. I loved both their singing voices they were/are awesome.

wow im going to see it tomorrow, i dont know johnny cash but i plan on seeing it anyway it just seemed like such a good movie

I just got back from seeing it and I loved it! Reese was brilliant

I went to see is a few days back with my mom! Like the others here, I had no idea who Johnny Cash was but as it was one my mom wanted to see, and we were stuck in town without a car, we saw it. I quite liked it (was a tad slow in some places though) and I loved Reese and Joaquin - their singing and acting was great! Reese did a great job of the accent, I must say!

I've seen it too. Like everyone else i don't know much about Johnny Cash or June Carter but i loved this movie. It was really good to see Joakim and Reese do all their own singing as well
It's a great love stroy as well.

I so want to see this movie. It has got mixed reviews though. But I love Reese so that is why I want to see it. Dad is keen on seeing it as he liked some of his music. The fact that they got Golden Globes and nominated for Oscars only makes it better!

yeah i saw it afew days ago now, it is a really good movie. they had great actors im a big fan of reese and this role really showed her in a different light
it was really good how it told a story, i feel sorry for johnny cash in alot of ways. he had a pretty bad life not really seeing his kids and being away all the time. June carter is such a strong person

i went to see it with my dad, who is a major johnny cash fan. i have heard his music all of my life. i personally thought it was brilliant. the singing was awesome. reese witherspoon deserves the oscar, she was amazing
