Full Version: Can U Audition For A Part In Neighbours?

hey guys my bestie is a really talented actor and she wants to get a part in Neighbours but we couldnt work out whether they hold auditions or whether they go thru agencies, and if so, which agencies?
does anyone know anything bout this?

I would think that you would need an agent to get an audition, I doubt they would do open auditions as the response would be overwhelming!
Its easy enough to get an agent though.

The best way to find out is to go to the channel 10 website and they've probably got a "Contact Us" link.

Having said that, I would say they would only deal with agents. As people have already said, it's easy enough to get yourself an agent. Pick some out of the phone book or internet, phone them and get an appointment.

REMEMBER: if they ask you to pay a huge amount of money straight up, they are fake! Most good agencies require only a small amount of money or none at all. You'll need to have a folio (which is an album of photos of you in different "characters") and they may ask you to do some acting classes etc before they begin looking for jobs for you.

Start small- get hired as an extra first. wink2.gif

Or i guess that if ur in a drama skool, some companies will go seeking there. i dunno, lol.

ive done walk ons in neighbours and home and away but they neva seem 2 b looking 4 a character my age but hopefully now im a bit older it mite change im only 14 but they rarley hire children younger than that now ne way were do u live cos my agent is awsome i live in sydney i can give u the details if u live in sydney
