I've got a few things to say after tonights ep...

1stly, how the hell can MH talk about songwriting and meaning and all that when he used to dance around throwing carnation petals and sing ALL about love and romance?

2ndly, if he didnt like Anne's performance he couldve at least let the girl speak and say what she needed to say instead of always butting in and saying his stuff.

3rdly, what does this guy know about funk or attitude?

Lastly, i think this loony needs to leave TV, in the first season he was fine, in the 2nd season he was getting strange, but now hes gone too far, hes turned into a grumpy old fool.

Ive lost what little respect i had for this guy, hes acting really immature and just imagine how bad Anne must feel!

i've lost respect for him too.. he went a bit over the top tonight, i know hes meant to give criticism and praise where it's due, but he just goes a bit too far sometimes

i thought they were good i missed first2 performances but every other singer made me think oh i should vote for you and keep u here and MH was just rude to them all, particularly anne who couldnt get a word in edgewise

He was right, she was crap she can sing but it lacked.

I think anne did one of the best performances tonight. He didn't like any of them. The only reason he left was because no-one was believing him and they were all booing him. He didn't like the thought of not being right.

the thing is, im not sure what he'll ever say to a performance these dayz...cause a lot of the time he is right...like with dan, he was right to say that his performance was pretty dull, but he has said that anne's performances have been crap the past two weeks when i reckon she has done the best in the past two weeks, but maybe im biased cause i like her....but then again, its was her singing that made me like her in the first place....so i dont know about him.....i just think cause d*icko has gone, he doesnt have anyone there to back him up cause that a**hole kyle just says that performnace are good when they clearly are NOT.....all he is interested in is "muffin tops" and "tuckshop lady arms"...god, why doesnt he take a look at himself in the mirror for once!

I think Mark is trying to be the new -o...cept hr's throwing in a toddlers temperment! If something doesn't go his way, he cracks. In the words of MH himself...he's gone 'gooney looney mooney booney gooney'.

Mark Holden knows what he's doing, he knows who will fail and who will fly in the music industry. He has far more knowledge than all of you. He's been in the business for years and knows talent when he sees it. I have great respect for him.

The finalists in OZ idol this year are shocking. He was 100% right about Laura and he sure to hell has knowledge on who will do well. Don't criticize just because you don't agree with him. It's his job and he knows what he's doing.

I totally agree with you - I couldn't believe that people are so willing to disregard what he says. Of all three judges on that panel, I'd say Mark has the most experience. Kyle may be the most vocal, but that doesn't necessarily mean he has the best understanding of the industry.

The third series is definitely the weakest by far - Laura Gissara should NOT have even got into the Top 13 this year and it's only by some small miracle she stayed in as long as she did, even after her multiple shocking performances. In this series, so far, there is no-one even close to the level of Guy, Paulini, Shannon, Anthony or Casey - I've yet to see one of them produce a truly fantastic performance worthy of one of Mark's touchdowns.

I do like Lee, but he is definitely far from the best.

And to the person saying he knows who'll last in the industry... i got two names for you: Casey Donovan and Vanessa Amorosi. The latter is a great singer but Mark Holdens songwriting and production did nothing for her! She needs to find some better ppl to work with!

In my view, the strongest voices, like recording voices in the competition are Anne, Emily, Kate and Dan.
The entertainers are Lee and I know a few people will disagree with me, but I also think Milly is a great entertainer. I mean, yes, she gets nervous. But I think she has real potential.
I'm personally not a fan of Lee, purely because of the songs he sings. He does have a great voice and is talented. I'm not denying him that. I'm personally just not into his style. Having said that, i Think he did a great Job at his arrangement and singing of Roxanne. Its a very powerful song that one. It was my second favourite arangment of that song - first favourite being the Moulin Rouge arangement of the piece.

I think Anne is fantastic at ballads.
Milly is good at quirkey songs - Big Band night will be her chance to shine.
Emily is good at power ballads.
Kate is good at powerful songs.
Lee is good at what he does - pop. No, not punk. Because what he does is NOT punk.
Roxanne is unfortunatly slipping. She was incredible in her two Top 30 performances, but she's unfortunatly slipping.
James I'm not really sure what he's good at, because I don't think he's really had a defining moment yet. I hope he does though.
Daniel has a rock voice.
And Dan has been pretty good with everything so far.

Well, thats just my opinions.

I have to agree. I mean, yes Lee is talented, but alot of the reason, well, I know with my friends that like him...they like him because they think he sings punk(even though he doesn't) and they think that's 'kool'.
