Hey guys,

As many of you would know, yesterday was the Emmys and Channel 10 screened it last night. I missed the red carpet arrivals but I watched the entire telecast after Aus Idol (Natalie left *cries*). Anyway I thought it was a really good night! My fave parts were included seeing Rachel Bilson, Mischa Barton and Lauren Graham present awards (WHY isn't Gilmore Girls back on Australian TV - it's been like two years!!!!! mad.gif She so deserves an Emmy sad.gif) as well as Donald Trump and Megan Muhally (sp?) perform the Green Acres theme - at least Donald Trump can make fun of himself! tongue.gif

I thought Ellen DeGenerous actually did a pretty bad job at hosting, most of her jokes weren't funny and she looked really uncomfortable up there hosting. I did however love the bit at the beginning with Eva Longoria where they made fun of how she didn't get an Emmy laugh.gif

Surprised that Felicity Huffman picked up the Emmy, I thought Teri Hatcher was bound to get it however I thought Marcia Cross deserved it.

I watched the whole thing live on Fox8. I was really excited that Shatner got it, I almost screamed. I also jumped online to tell everyone on the list-server for sci-fi fans I'm on a few of them are Star Trek fans.

Kiefer didn't bring home the EMMY!!!!!
stupid Emmy....... mad.gif
ninafan
yeah but Spader did, Shatner's co-star. I was torn with Jackman's one, I wanted either him or Whoopi Goldberg to win.

huh???
wat scene? huh.gif
ninafan
don't feel bad I didn't reconise it either. As Shatner and von Stade were performing the Star Trek theme, clips from the original show played behind them. Those clips culminated in a two-shot of the late DeForest Kelley and the late James Doohan.

Doohan was also acknowledged during the "In Memoriam" presentation of television greats who have passed away in the last year. They used a clip from "The Cloud Minders" of Kirk and Spock contacting Mr. Scott to beam them up, then spliced that with a clip from "The Apple" of Scotty alerting the Transporter Room to beam up the landing party.

Also remembered in the tribute were John Fiedler ("Mr. Hengist"), Frank Gorshin ("Bele") and Brock Peters ("Joseph Sisko" and "Admiral Cartwright") — the latter with a clip from Deep Space Nine ("Paradise Lost").
We should've though.
