Paris Hilton calls off her wedding: report

Paris Hilton has reportedly dumped her fiancé of the same name after it was revealed he had neglected to tell his parents of the impending nuptials.

The oversight came to light two weeks ago at a special engagement party the Hilton heiress had arranged for her family and that of her husband-to-be, Paris Latsis.

It seems incredible news of the wedding had not filtered through to Greece, where the billionaire Latsis family live, but one set of guests at the intimate family get together did seem a little confused, British tabloid News of the World reported yesterday.

The father of the secretive groom-to-be, Grigoris Kasidokstas, has now refused to allow his son to marry and Paris Hilton, who is said to be mortified, has ditched Paris.

"It was like a bad scene out of Meet The Parents," a source told the newspaper.

"Two of the world's richest families meet to celebrate their kids' engagement, but one set of parents know nothing about it.



"Grigoris also thinks his son is too young to be tying the knot and has cast doubts on how serious the relationship is. It's all very embarrassing.

"It wasn't that Paris didn't want to tell his parents. He just never got round to doing it properly. But if he wants Paris back he'll have to do a lot of grovelling."

As much as I don't like Paris Hilton, I have to admit, she does intrigue me sometimes to find out more about her. I sometimes think 'surely someone can't be that bad. She seems so shallow...

Anyway, back to the topic, can't say I'm surprised, I could see this coming!

I bet you all £100 that she has 5 engagments, 5 marriages and 5 divorces.

I think it's mostly an act. I think she knows herself that she really doesnt have that much talent for anything, she can't really sing, act or do anything that constitutes a reason to be as famous/recognised as she is. She was only lucky enough to be born into money, and even though she could quite easily disappear from The Simple Life, and her music and movies and live off the Hilton name for the rest of her life, she doesnt really wanna be remembered as a nobody.

Basically, any publicity is good publicity in the world of Miss Hilton
