The character is a believer, a la "The X-Files'" Mulder, and may also become a love interest for Paige Halliwell (Rose McGowan). Source: Zap2it
08/30 - Kerr Smith — best known for his role as Dawson's Creek's token gay, Jack McPhee — is joining the cast of Charmed as a love interest for, um, a girl. Specifically, leading lady Rose McGowan. 08/25 - Excerpts from The WB's description for season 7: This season, Piper does her best to help Leo deal with his grief and find his way again, all the while struggling to balance raising two young children and managing her nightclub, P3. This season, Phoebe will try to deal with her grief by taking a leave of absence from her job as an advice columnist. She will find potential romance with the ghostwriter filling in for her, Leslie "Les" St. Claire (guest star Nick Lachey, Newlyweds). Now that the burden of her empath abilities is gone, Phoebe is not certain that she wants her active powers back. She is learning to rely on her Wiccan knowledge of potions and spells, her martial arts skills and her own common sense. This season, Paige takes on the job of saving the Magic School after the Elders have threatened to close it down. Running the Magic School will be more difficult than Paige ever imagined due to the resistance she will encounter from parents and faculty alike. As they have so often in the past, the Charmed Ones will continue to depend on their loyal friend and protector, Lt. Darryl Morris (Dorian Gregory, The Other Half, Soul Train). After a close call last season, Lt. Morris pulled back from helping the sisters, but he will still prove to be a valuable resource and friend for aid or advice. As the three most powerful good witches magic has to offer, the Halliwell sisters continue to wage war against evil as they seek to strengthen their sisterly bond and come ever closer to fulfilling their destiny. It's the Halliwell siblings, the three bewitching sisters on the WB's ''Charmed.'' According to the Hollywood Reporter, the MTV ''Newlyweds'' star will appear in a guest role for six episodes next season as a ghostwriter who fills in for columnist Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) during her sabbatical and ends up falling in love with her. ''He's very attractive, he's got star power and, in looking at the tapes of the acting he's done, he's got a fresh take, a fresh look, and a natural way about him that translates into his performances,'' producer Brad Kern told the Reporter. ''I feel strongly that it's going to be a fun match with Alyssa Milano.'' Source: Entertainment Weekly

Could this be a divine signal for Piper and Leo to stop quibbling and start parenting? Meanwhile, Paige continues her quest for the perfect man (or even a couple of imperfect ones), while Phoebe desperately searches for the father of her future daughter. Given the pageant of witches, warlocks, and sexy wardrobe gracing the manor in the coming year, finding time to juggle multiple romances while fighting the forces of darkness will become increasingly challenging. 04/30 - Excerpts from a TV Guide interview with Alyssa Milano: We're all contracted for eight years. But I think we all feel like we want to go out on top. So if our ratings are as strong as they are this year, we'll probably go for an eighth season. And if it starts to slip, we'd all decide to end after the seventh season. It's a tricky thing to know when the right time to end a show is. Source: TV Guide Online

His first target is a Marine chaplain and, sadly, Piper and Paige aren't able to protect him fully. Paige did say a spell to protect him but it didn't work as expected. Even if the Chaplain has a hole in his body, no one is sure if he's really dead until the Angel of Death appears (yep, the same one who talked with Prue, and who collected the souls of Patty and Grams). The spell actually messed a bit more lives than just the chaplain's because the souls Death is supposed to take don't die. So Sirk can't become a full demon since the souls aren't collected, and the Angel of Death can't do is job because deads aren't really dead. Paige is not happy either with the results of her spell because she messed with the way things are supposed to happen, but if she reverses it, the chaplain dies... To Sirk's surprise, the Chaplain isn't his last blood relative. [highlight to read because it's extra spoilery - It's not clear how it happens but Piper dies (yeah, again) and ends up helping the Angel of Death. One of her tasks? Collect Paige's soul!
