just want to mention what a fantastic night at delta's concert. like all of us would say, best time ever. it was a total pleasure being my first ever concert.

firstly i need to thank my wife for taking us as she is not so crash hot about delta, however as the concert finished she admitted she had a great time and enjoyed delta's performance.

what a show... delta & brian together. so awesome. and their voices, they sang with passion. just loving it.

Here is an email I have sent to Paul Dainty. I received a reply today in which they said to contact Wollongong Ent Centre as it is their problem. This is not what we (me and others who complained) were told on the night. We were told by staff there that it was the fault of the promoter. Please read and let me know what you think. We love Delta but the tickets we and others were sold were a joke.

I am emailing regarding the Delta concert I took my 8 year old to tonight. This was her first real big girl concert and she has been looking forward to it for months since we bought the tickets. She absolutely loves Delta.
We live in Sydney but I thought I would get tickets in Wollongong because it seemed to be a smaller venue. We sat in section 20. At the very side of the stage.
Can you imagine how disappointing it was to discover through the first song that we could not even see Delta. There was a big black curtain in the way. When she was near the front of the stage that was fine but for all the parts where she performed at the back of the stage we saw nothing. We could not see what was happening on the screen at the rear of the stage either. We were not the only audience members in this situation.
I am aware that your company has been around for a long time and I thought your company was more professional than what I experienced tonight.
Imagine the disappointment and how upset my 8 year old was after all the excitement of the past few months.
I cannot believe these tickets were able to be sold to us. I understand that we did not purchase the best seats in the house but believe me this was not through lack of trying but to have the view we had was absolutely ridiculous.
I spoke to staff at the entertainment centre and I was told to contact the promoter and that it had nothing to do with them and that we could move to any other vacant seat. Trouble was they were right at the back of the venue.
I am still searching for contact details for Delta Goodrem because she also needs to know how disappointed fans were tonight.
How on earth can your company honestly sell tickets like that and feel right about it. How can you do that to families, especially children who already struggle in these times to afford concert tickets.
I am really angry, upset and disappointed and hope that your company will contact me soon with an explanation of how this can be done. I do hope I will not be given the excuse that you have had no other complaints because the staff working tonight said to me you are not the only one we have a lot of very unhappy people but it has nothing to do with us. Just because others don't complain don;t just think I am whinging about nothing. If this is the case then please contact the poor staff at the entertainment centre who had to cop all the abuse because of the problem

Can you please help me get a satisfactory answer to this complaint or refer me to someone who can help me as I don't think I got what I paid for

ofcoarse you are angry about this and have a right to be....its a great email..i just dont see what can be done about it now?
Im not trying to say get over it at all...i was just wondering what you would be hoping to achieve from sending this email...awareness? an apology?

Aww that's a shame! But I suppose there isnt much they will do for you. When you buy your tickets there is a seating chart to view? And if that's what they were selling at the time that's what you got...

yes it is a shame indeed! I guess the set-up could have been better...like the black cutain could have been moved back a little bit

I'm really sorry that you were disappointed with your seats sad.gif it's not really fair that the venue can sell tickets like that.

At the same time though Delta herself has no control over any of that side of thing, she's the performer.

That's a real shame.

Unfortunately though, those sections are often cleary labelled "side viewing", meaning that's what you get - a side view where you cannot expect to see the whole stage.

Perhaps it would have been better to move to the back of the stalls anyway?

Your complaint however should definitely NOT reach Delta herself though. That would be utterly embarassing. Delta has no control over the seating at all. She is merely the performer. Seating is organised by the venue.
