I have a uniform, even primary schools are all starting to have them.
Summer- plaid shirt, navy skirt, navy vest or jersey, white socks and blaizer
Winter- White skirt, tie, navy vest or jersey, tarten kilt, blue tights and blaizers are complusery in winter.
Also our shoes have to be black leather lace ups, they are very strict with uniforms (and this is at a public school)

We had to wear ties ALL year around! And our school had a set length that they had to be (not that anyone stuck to it!) they were quite strict on ties but everyone used to tuck them in anyway! And we were supposed to wear our blazers at ALL time. Not that anyone did though. Plus my school was VERY strict on shoes.

Last day so it was pretty relaxed

yeah my school had a uniform! as most people have said most schools in syd have uniform,. just some are more strict than otheres. my high school TRIED to be strict with the unifrom, but it was amazing how many people got away. when we had uniform checks 1st period some teacher are nice/lazy making us pull up our socks, take of the wrong scarf or what not so we didnt get a warning letter, but other teachers who where strick would give a warning letter despite the fact the sock was under the "acceptable" height by a cm.

as jess said though uniform is so much easier than having to decide what to wear

I go to a private school and we wear a uniform.
In summer the girls wear dresses and the boys wear shirts and shorts.
In winter the girls wear skirts, shirts, tights & ties. The boys wear pants, shirts and ties.
For winter and summer we have blue jumpers and an UGLY blazer!
For pe we have a rugby jumper, t-shirt & shorts/tracksuit pants.

I never really had a set uniform when I went to school, just a colour code. Primary school was this awful greeny colour *shudder*, and a white shirt, so as long as you wore green bottoms and a white shirt then that was fine. High school was navy and white, and college thankfully didn't have a colour code.
I always wanted a uniform though, should've moved to a school that had one laugh.gif

I'm in college now, so I don't wear uniform.. but in primary school comprehensive school I wore uniform.
It was a red jumper (for primary)/ black jumper (for comp), white polo shirt (for primary)/ light blue polo shirt (for comp), black trousers and black shoes. Oh and in the summer in primary I'd wear a red and white check dress which I loved!

Just thought I'd post a pic of my comprehensive school uniform whistling.gif http://i30.tinypic.com/30awahf.jpg
god, that pic was taken a year ago yesterday- I'm in second row, right in the middle

yep I wore a uniform I went to the same primary and their uniform was brown and yellow but I went to 3 different high schools one had a maroon and white one(hated Origin time when I was there), one had first blue and green and then blue, green and white and the other one had blue and white so I could recycle the skirt from one and the tops from the other.
